Did you like it?

I did. Daniel-Day Lewis was awesome as Abraham Lincoln.

Good one! I have to admit it might even surpass the original.

Thank you! I think that too. I really like the Coen Brothers as filmmakers. I love their version of True Grit. I could re watch it again and again.

I absolutely agree! What surprised the most, though, was Hailee Steinfeld's performance. She outplayed Jeff Bridges in this movie.

J Edgar.

Aged FBI Director, J Edgar Hoover, gives a rather self serving story of his life, but the truth is revealed to the audience, as well as Hoover himself, such as his grandstanding (such as claiming to have made headline arrests - he didn't), and his use of blackmail to gain power, and vindictively ruining of everyone from enemies, to those rising stars in the FBI who he feared would outshine him. Also, his closeted homosexuality, as well with his intimate relationship with his number two man, Clyde Tolson, is explored. His primary motivation in life appears to have been fear; whether it was of leftist radicals, bank robbing gangsters, fear of his sexuality being exposed, and fear of the current sitting Presidents who he believed might remove him from power. Very first rate movie.

I remember liking that movie when it came out. The acting was really good as I remember.

A Cure For Wellness.

Very creepy movie about a young business executive sent to a Swiss health spa to bring a mentally disturbed CEO recuperating there back to his company, so he can take the fall for financial irregularities. After getting the run-around, he gets into a terrible car accident, after which he finds himself a patient at the spa. The Spa has a dark past, involving incest, horrible experiments, and murder from two centuries back, which he finds is still alive Very good horror film, with Dane Dehaan as the business executive, and Jason Jacobs (from Event Horizon) as the mad doctor.
