Because metal isn't as popular I guess. The remixes are very much a part of electronic music culture, which is dominant. It might also be because it's harder for your average person to make a metal song.

Metal might be hard to make, but if you pull it off, it is amazing. Hell, right now I am writing an album in an Opeth format with "djent" style guitar done with Pantera riffs thrown over as leads and symphonic metal keyboards. Probably gonna have a version available without keyboards for those that would find the symphonic elements too much. (Gonna use one layer though, not 2 or 3...that's when I think it gets too much.) Also, gonna have instrumental option with or without keyboards.

Most satisfying genre to compose in by far...I could probably compose 10 hard rock songs in the same amount of time as one progressive metal song, but there's no challenge. Metal has basically no boundaries.

So Twi is an alicorn now......... eh, what a gyp. Life goes on, however..... I look forward to season 4.

I hope Season 4 will dewing the Twilicorn.

Just finished the season this weekend.


Fanfic season. Like I predicted. I've read pretty much every episode muyltiple times on fimfiction. Great ideas, too often let down by poor execution.

Since I like you guys, there is this. I love this song from NeedsMoreDjent, and it needs to be completed. Was my first vocals focused video, and I think the projection is good and the vocals are pretty easily understood.

Alright, I never heard that song by him before. As a bit of criticism I'm going to say that you need to work on mixing the existing sounds and the added ones together, here the additions sounded like something thrown on top of the backing track because they were so overpowering.

I completely agree Ganondox. At the time of recording the video, I attempted that, but was worried about projecting. I would say that those projection lessons on Youtube helped haha. I mostly kept it up for 2 reaosns.

1. It is my first vocals focused video, and I am still working on some singing aspects. I rather like how the growls harminized, however, and the vocal rhythms seemed pretty good.

2. I sent the video to NeedsMoreDjent to see if he would be able to get ideas from it. He has been working on it for months now, but sometimes feedback from a different musician with adding parts can help.

I know the EQ is garbage, it is my video camera. I tried really hard to get it to sound good, but after 4 takes it just sounded the same. This is my tribute to a great brony metal musician, and I am very happy with the bass one it. Just excuse the rest of it sounding like an anemic baby.

Also, apparently all my vocals sound like whispers. Similar personality to Fluttershy indeed!

Also, as far as Mentally Advanced Series...the intro was messed up haha. The rest of it seems pretty good so far, a lot closer to the original storylines than Friendship is Witchcraft. Nothing beats Gypsy Pinkie Pie or bunny fire Fluttershy, though. Hail smooze!

This dude is inspirational as hell, such passion. Perfectionism really pays off here.

I like the show well enough although I think it's becoming increasingly contrived - especially during season 3. Discord reforming literally halfway through a sentence was probably the worst of it; the finale was extremely well animated and had great shading but again seemed to be full of plot holes - knowing and casting one spell gives you royal status? I know that Twilight was in the royal family due to Cadance marrying her brother Shining Armor anyway but it still seems a bit ridiculous. Overall, though, the actual show is really good and got me back into watching animation; I've started watching Adventure Time too and that's also great.

I'm not a huge fan of the term 'brony'. At all. It sounds horrible. I much prefer to just say 'fan of MLP' since it lacks the connotation of basing your identity around a single show - I may just be reading too much into it. The actual community is refreshingly friendly and creative however, and I do appreciate that.
