I think most of the critics of this show are just too insecure in their masculinity to give it a shot. I have seen their "reasons" for disliking the show, and it just reminds me of how people like having an easy target.

There are many legitimate reasons for not liking the show, but most excuses people give do not come from actually watching the show. If you aren't interested you don't have to watch, but don't diss the show before you give it a PROPER chance, which is something that most people do not do.

I have never seen the show, I don't know if my girls watched it when they were little or not but I do remember buying them the pony's at Wal Mart. I'm posting this here because I've become aware from my 16yo daughter that MLP is now cool and has sort of a cult following at her school. This one guy they hang out with actually just had his car painted with MLP colors and a horse or two on it. For real. I guess MLP is the new Hello Kitty here.

Well he's got quite a few teenage girls who he drives home from school and around town because of it. He's straight too. I think the car paint was a stealth move. It seemed to work well. "Nick" (not his real name but close) drives girls everywhere and always has a date for things. He's also not very attractive and somewhat overweight, but according to quite a few of the girls I've heard talk about him "He's not hot in the usual way but just something about him makes him hot".

Add to the nerd factor, he's also dungeon master at the D&D game that they go to. And no, it's NOT just girls from the D&D group that like him.

Dude is working the whole thing it seems.

ETA; oh and I just remembered. I recently read something that actually took it way too far lol.

Despite what my avatar might suggest my favorite pony is Fluttershy.

I like Fluttershy too, she kind of reminds me of one of my friends.

So I have come to think that the pony personalities are better than the mBTI for personality types.

I would be about this: 50% Fluttershy, 35-40% Twilight and 10-15% Pinkie (when manic.)

You guys?

Did you get this anywhere or did you just make it up.

Just a theory, given that the poneis are more round characters than the mBTI personality types overall (in my opinion.)

I'd place myself at 50% Twilight Sparkle, 15% Pinkie Pie, 15% Fluttershy, 10% Rarity, 7% Rainbow Dash, and 3% Applejack.

Is the season 4 hiatus going to be longer than the season 2 one?

It looks like it, they said the show will come back in winter, though the next season is supposed to be a full 26 episodes.
