The Lion King 1 1/2. Already talked about it in another post about direct-to-video Disney sequels.

I concur. In fact, Greta Gerwig wants "Lady Bird" to begin a series of films that could empower more women.

Sorry for not posting in a while, I've just been feeling depressed for a while. I'm way better now, and I think the movies I watched really helped.

Anchorman (2004)

A really hilarious live-action comedy that DreamWorks made before they became solely an animation studio. There's a lot of famous comedians in it: Will Ferrell, Steve Carrell, Jack Black.... I found the film so funny that I'm currently watching the 70 minutes of bloopers and deleted scenes on the Blu-Ray. Sorta makes me curious about what TV was like in the late 70's (or is it the early 80's?).

The Dark Crystal (1982)

Made by Jim Henson's company, this was the first major movie to have an all-puppet cast. Normally, I hate puppets because they look so ugly and move really janky, but the creatures in this movie looked and felt like living, breathing characters, which is very rare for puppetry in general. This movie took 5 years to make, and the result was definitely worth every minute of work.

I am glad it is getting a lot of press. Greta is a talented woman.
