My dad got rid of her one day and I will never forgive him for that. So the movie made me think of my dog Ginger.

Real nice (*sarcasm*). :x

I think animated films especially Disney are experts on tear jerkers. But in the end almost everyone of those movies have happy endings. But there are probably some that have sad endings or a mixture of both.

For example; Dumbo saying goodbye to his mom. That was a two handkerchief job.

Wanna cry at an animated film, watch Grave of the Firelfies, a great movie and made me cry a lot. The begining is like what if Dumbo's mother was ..... well I am not ruining the movie but there are no flying elephants, and it might just change your outlook on the effects of war. It is done by Studio Ghibli who often get picked up by Disney for distribution, and this movie had tears rolling down my face after watching it on tv, can't think of anything that had a simular effect except maybe ET when I was a little kid.

I cried at My Girl when Thomas J dies. I remember sobbing my heart out at that as a kid.
I cried at The Notebook. Yeah yeah, it's a chick flick. I know. It was good.
I cried when Trevor died in Pay It Forward. What a remarkable young man. And to have his life cut short like that... it's just... not fair.
I cried when I thought Shadow was going to die in Homeward Bound.
I cried at the episode of Pokemon where Butterfree leaves, Bye Bye Butterfree. I still do to this day, man. I remember when he was just a little Catterpie. :( Not a movie but still.

I'm sure I could think of many more if given time.

The first five minutes of that movie ruined it for me. The end part where he's going through the adventure book for the last time is jacked-up sad too.

Never Ending Story. The part where Artax is over come by the swamp of sadness. You couldn't pay me to watch that scene again.

Me too.

I've cried on Blake's 7, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Secret Smile, Amadeus and Hair. Maybe others that I can't remember at the moment. What a crybaby.
Also, weird as it might be, I have cried on Pretty Woman too. Shame.

I had this really strange obsession with the movies Beaches and Dumbo when i was 3-7 yrs old.
Out of the millions of vhs tapes my dad had those two are what i would watch repeatedly. I don't remember crying back then but I watched them again in my twenties and cried like a baby. It makes me wonder why i would have subjected myself to that kind of emotion on a regular basis.

Titanic
I was very young when I watched it, 'cause when I saw Jack's death towards
the end, I cried my eyes out. The scene wasn't as sad when I grew up, but
it was very sad for me, knowing that Rose would never be with her true love.

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
When Spock sacrifices his life in order for the Enterprise to atain warp speed
to escape the explosion caused by the Genesis Device after Khan activates
the termination sequence. It was a real tearjerker for me, the clossest I've
almost cried in a movie, espically with Spock's last words:

Spock - I have, and always shall be, your friend.
Live long and prosper.

I totally agree with you there pal. I was never even a trek fan until about a year ago when I saw the new movie, but now I love all things Star Trek. Also I have to say in the world of Star Trek that the beautiful music score to Star Trek Generations was so moving in an eerie type of way.
