i barely watched the episode since i'm in wide-eyed/excited mode right now. don't know why i'm so excited right now. i get so active and jumpy at night. all i know is that jack has some serious family issues.

Move over Manson Family, here come the Bauers.

Seriously, though, Jack and Graem have the most serious sibling rivalry since Attila the Hun.

And Papa Bauer is all like "I'm trying to protect my son. It's prison, Jack." As if Jack doesn't know what prison is, as if Jack isn't thinking, "Dammit, Dad, I just spend two years in a CHINESE prison that makes even the worst American prison look like a resort, and you're asking me to save my sniveling, no good, traitor SOB brother who sent me there? WTF?"

And then Graham goes all turncoat and holds his DAD hostage? And why did K-Hayes step down? I guess that means that we'll either be seeing more of her at CTU, or less of her as she makes her way across the country via military transport. (And then you see in the previews for episode seven that President Palmer 2.0 grows a pair and tells someone off.) I hope Lennox dies from radiation poisoning, and Graham gets a little taste of Jack's Chinese leftovers as Jack works off some anger in the name of National Security and Beat Up Younger Brother.

And Wallid had better not die because then Sister of the President will NEVER shut up, which means the show will test my patience.

(Also, during the episode, did you see the preview for the movie BREACH? Did you see President Palmer the First in that movie? I wonder if he will be playing POTUS in that movie.)

And I am starting to think that Nadia ISN'T the mole because then it would totally justify all the draconian measures being implemented, plus it would play to stereotypes and suspicions. Maybe there isn't a mole this season...

I think Lennox is up to something..and it can't be good..which is probably why he wanted Hayes out of the way

Which is basically what he said to his Toady.

Also, who thinks that maybe the mysterious programmer McCarthy is going to get to reprogram the nukes is Milo or Morris? It's definitely a him, and Milo has been out of the show for a good many years, leaving him plenty of time to brush up on nuclear trigger programming. And I am sorry, but the comment "She's a registered Republican" has no bearing on whether or not someone is a security risk. Strike 5041 for Milo. And WHY ISN'T CHLOE GETTING MORE SCREEN TIME?

(Actually, since there seems to be a lot of chatter about how the show is statist Republican propaganda, it would be interesting to see if there is an increase in registration to the Republican party amongst 24 viewers in the next year or so. It would be a sort of exit poll, I guess, or a look-up of voter registration information and then asking them to all fill out a survey. I wonder if it could be done... I bet the findings would, like any survey, prove whatever point I was trying to make just because of how I phrase the questions and interpret data, but it would be interesting nonetheless.)

So...these are totally random, but they now answer the question everyone asks: what does Jack Bauer eat?

And they also raise more questions, such as Why do the Japanese get cool celebrity commercials and Americans are stuck with Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton and Co.?

Papazian is not a common name, yet 24 has had one character and two actors named that.

Me and my dad watched this episode together. This exchange happened.:

My dad: This is one dysfunctional family.

Me: Yeah.

*A few seconds later*

Me: *Pointing at TV* Oh, you were talking about them.

And some whatever that drug was.

I thought Jack was just going to make him talk by giving him noogies.

Which would really hurt, considering Graem is bald.

WTF! Jack has some serious family issues! And what is Evil White Vice President going to do, do you think? And do you think Morris is gonna get killed off? That would be sad. And hopefully Chloe gets more screen time next time. And Jack's dad is E-V-I-L. Geez...

Poor Morris!

Well, it's been obvious to me since season 1 that there is some kind of shadow government yanking the chains of various terrorist organizations to do their bidding and to set agendas into motion... so is jack's father the Fu-Manchu?

Is it an Illuminatist sect? Masonic? White Supremecist?

And "the company" is clearly code for whatever is this secret organization is.

I know. It is hard to keep the two separate, and I didn't even think that the quiet farmer was gonna off his own kid. "you've been a good boy."

And Graem totally knew what was going to happen. There is no honor among thieves.
