I rented Thank You for Smoking.
I think I passed out laughing too hard.

I just saw SUPERBAD yesterday, and it was the funniest movie I've ever seen...but it was also dirty too. I enjoyed it.

Here are the movies I've seen in theaters this year (edited and updated):

Bridge to Terabithia
Meet the Robinsons
Spider-Man 3
Shrek the Third
Ratatouille
Nancy Drew
Harry Potter 5
Bratz
Halloween

And also take note I've seen some of these more than once.

Most recently viewed, either in theater, TV or DVD:

Superbad - I did laugh often and loughly, but I doubt I'll see it again. Way too rauchy for my usual tastes

The Great New Wonderful - interesting, espeically around the the anniversary of 9/11, but not particularly great

Galaxy Quest - wonderful and hilarious, best film I've seen in a while

Becoming Jane - nice, lightwieght, highly fictionalized, that hot McAvoy guy was worth the ticket price alone

Death at a Funeral - dreadful and unfunny. Don't believe the hype!

Highlander: The Source - the character with the "migrating" accent (first kind of Scottishy, then Manchestery, then campy Cockney heavy on the "yeah"'s) was amusing, until he was killed off. Other than that, just painful.

This past Wednesday I saw Shoot 'Em Up - a truly bonkers, utterly hilarious satire on those one-man-army gunfight movies, in which enough ammunition is expended to make WW2 look like a minor scuffle. I don't think I've seen anything so funny all year.

People get killed with carrots, for Zod's sake!

Clive Owen and Paul Giamatti are awesome as the hero and villain respectively, and Monica Bellucci... well, she's Monica Bellucci, isn't she? I'd watch her reading the phone book... :D

I rented Zodiac.
Very amazing job but do not rent the no-features version.
Instead, wait until January when the 2-disc director's cut is set for release.

I saw Dan in real life tonight. I thought it was pretty good for a chick flick.

Yesterday I started watching The Stand based on Stephen King's famous novel. I haven't seen it for at least 9 years.
