I've noticed the ponies are quite well-liked around here. ;) I'm a casual fan, I haven't watched the show itself in ages, but I follow a few fan artists, read the occasional fanfic, come up with theories with my friends about how things in Equestria really work, and I even own a few small pieces of merch. It's a good show, but I kind of have to be in the right mood to watch it.

I pretty much agree with you.

Mane-iac didn't seem as complex as some of the other villains, but I still kind of enjoyed the episode.

It's not a favorite of mine, really... But still good.

Oh, and another little bit of trivia - Lauren Faust also created The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends - that makes MLP:FIM infinitely cooler :D

Actually, no. She didn't create them... But she did help work on them.

The true mastermind behind those two shows is her husband, Craig McCracken.

I remember when I used to watch PPG as a kid, my dad would absolutely go gaga over Bubbles. XD He has reacted similarly the last few times I've shown him Fluttershy. The funny thing is, the voice actor for Bubbles was actually Tara Strong, better known as the VA for Twilight Sparkle. Fluttershy, on the other hand is voiced by Andrea Libman.

Also, for any of the Fire Emblem fans here, has anyone ever noticed how similar Fluttershy is to Florina from FE7? In terms of their personalities and speech mannerisms, the similarities are almost uncanny. As well, Florina is a pegasus knight, their hairstyles look somewhat similar, and their names both start with the first two letters. Coincidence? I think not. Whatever the case is, they are both two of my favorite fictional characters of all time. ^^

Yeah, Bubbles was always my favorite as a kid, too. Tara Strong also did the voice for Angel from Lilo & Stitch: the series, which was another show I loved watching as a kid.

I've also actually met Andrea Libman at the Nightmare Nights Dallas convention about a month ago, too. And she was very nice... You can probably already tell that I just adore Fluttershy from my avatar alone! XD

There's also another animated character that Fluttershy kind of reminds me of, and you may have actually heard of this show since you live in Canada:

Dawn is actually parody of Luna Lovegood off of Harry Potter, but both her and Fluttershy still share some similarities and differences.

I can't really remember who my favorite PPG character was at the time, though I think Blossom stood out for me the most, as I remember being obsessed with the color red at the time. But anyway, PPG was a really cool show, and part of what convinced me to try MLP: FiM was the fact that Lauren Faust worked on both shows. :)

I'll admit, I'm actually kind of jealous that you got to meet Andrea Libman. xD Tara Strong may get all the attention, but Andrea is the one I really want to meet, as I am absolutely obsessed with Fluttershy. The fact that she likes beer and wings is pretty cool as well. ^^

I've heard of Total Drama Island, and I've watched a bits of it, though due to circumstances (namely not having a Teletoon subscription from late 2009-2012), I kind of missed out on it for the most part. Where's a good place for me to start? :P

Yeah, my sister liked Blossom. ^^

I'd also like to meet Tara Strong someday, and maybe even John de Lancie, but a brony told me that you can only find him at comic cons... :(

I'm sure you'll meet Andrea Libman, someday! :)

Fluttershy is also great, because I can relate both to her and Twilight Sparkle pretty well.

Yeah, they have the Total Drama episodes up on youtube, including the new season that will be airing in Canada this January, (because the U.S. got it first for once).

Not going to give away too many spoilers, but Courtney gets a new boyfriend.

Fluttershy is definitely my favorite pony, but as far as personality goes I'm probably more similar to Twilight Sparkle or Rarity. Well, at least that's what the personality tests tell me. ^^

I would especially love to meet Tara Strong as well, and John de Lancie would be cool too since Discord is probably one of my favorite villains ever. I really like how Tara Strong has a strong relationship with the community, and how she's not afraid to embrace the more "PG-13" side of the fandom. :P Her voice acting is great too, needless to say, but it really is her involvement in the MLP fandom that interests me.

My villain rankings:

1. Discord
2. King Sombra
3. Nightmare Moon / Queen Chrysalis
4. Trixie Lulamoon
5. Mane-iac
6. Ahuizotl / Garble
7. Sunset Shimmer

To be continued/updated...?

This week's episode was just "Ok."

The twist of the episode was kind of spoiled for me, but I still kind of enjoyed it.

Well, guys. I just got off of the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Wiki, and look at what I found as the summary for episode eleven:

Quote:
Summary from episode press release

"As Twilight Sparkle eagerly anticipates the arrival of Princess Cadance, Discord dishes up quite the dreadful disruption when he arrives and begs the ponies to take care of him while he is sick. But when Discord’s diva like demands get ridiculously out of hand, Twilight’s generosity and friendship skills are put to the test during her special weekend."

This is going to be the BEST. EPISODE. EVER! Image
