Saw blackkklansman a little bit ago. It was pretty intense but definitely funny at times. I think it was really well made. Anyone else go to see it?

Not yet, but I will take the opportunity before I return to school two weeks from now.

Oceans Eight

It was okay. Intricate, high class heist movie. If you see it, cool. If you miss it, no big deal.

2001 A Space Odyssey.
A truly breathtaking film. Kubrick was a master. People are still trying to understand what he was doing.

Lowlife

A Tarantino-esque crime thriller set in a seedy part of L.A. I like this movie but it's not for everyone because of its ultra violence. There was some good acting in it, though, as well as unusual characters you won't see anywhere else.

Corn Island

I liked this Georgian movie but it wasn't what I'd thought it was. I'd only acquired it because I thought it was a horror flick. It wasn't. It's about an old man and his granddaughter who plant corn on an island in an area where a civil war is going on. The acting and scenery was spot on.

Hjemsøkt.
It was okay, liked the ending.

Ratter
Okay until the end. '

SPOILERS AHEAD!

Seriously? We'll never get to know who the kidnapper was?! It's okay with a movie that doesn't let the protagonists make it in the end, but to not even see who the culprit was or how it ended.... Although we must assume she wasn't found as there were no clues...

Mr. Brooks

Kevin Costner as a serial killer who is considering giving up his extracurricular activities. I thought the movie was pretty good. I wonder, though, if I'd gotten my hand on an unrated version as the violence sure was over the top. I could handle it, though. Demi Moore was also in the movie, but didn't have to be, IMHO.

The Train To Busan

A Korean zombie film about an overworked dad who takes his daughter on a train trip to see his estranged wife.

An excellent movie that despite its sad ending is IMO in tone similar to Steven Spielberg's War Of The Worlds film except with zombies instead of aliens.

As I was watching this film with my sister, we agreed that the extras who played zombies and the people overseeing makeup effects must have a lot of fun whenever they were getting ready to film their scenes.
