Aquaman, probably, wasn't like the Aquaman cartoons of the 1960s.

I really like that film. Especially Philip Seymour Hoffman.

I watched The Old Man & the Gun earlier today. Great story and amazing performances from the cast. I hope it isn't really Robert Redford's last film, but if it is, he chose a very fitting farewell.

A childhood classic. I used to love this film.

True Confessions.

1981 film concerning two brothers: one who had joined the priesthood but had allowed himself to become entangled in church politics and money, and the other a police detective who had been dirty but now wants to do the right thing. The gruesome murder of a naive young woman sets the two brothers at odds as the victim is found to have been prostituted by a wealthy Catholic layman who has left laity and clergy compromised.
Very good movie, which is a fictionalized version of the infamous Black Dahlia murder. Especially powerful is when the police detective brother discovers the blood stained, deserted army barracks where the girl was murdered and literally bisected apparently by a sadistic porno director.
