It is overrated but it is pretty good in my opinion. My type of movie.

Jurassic World.

I'm not saying I didn't like (Cause I did) but 1.6 Billion at the box office? I expected it to do well, but I don't quite understand how it got THAT high.

I don't understand the hype about "Inception". This movie was quite boring to me.

The Godfather. I don't understand why people think it's so great.

"The English Patient"

I love the Seinfeld episode about that movie, though. I agree with Elaine that it was boooorrringggg.

Inception: I had NO idea what was going on. I felt like I needed a flowchart to tell what the plot was

The English Patient: I agree with YippySkippy--incredibly boring but my wife thought it was the greatest thing ever.

Arlington Road: made me want to find Jeff Bridges and smack him. Predictable AND boring. Wife loved this one too.

The Crying Game: I actually figured out Dill's Big Secret five minutes after she came on screen, and then blurted it out loudly. When I realized that was the secret everyone was hinting about, I said, THAT's IT?? And the Wife liked this as well, starting to think we have serious movie incompatibility

Harry Potter, film AND books. Sorry folks, I may get some heat from this, but I thought these were merely "okay," not worth the monumental hoopla they got. I thought they ripped off Dianne Wynne Jones and a lot of other young adult authors, and didn't really improve on them.

Saturday Night Fever. Great Soundtrack,Great depiction of club life in the 1970s, great dancing and wardrobe but boring story.

I agree with the recent Star Trek movies, in fact I still haven't seen the sequel because I hated the first one so much.

I thought the Minions movie was too childish for my tastes.

The more I think about that movie the more I agree. The plot and characters are just so poorly developed compared to the prequels and the CGI looks so fake compared to the puppetry used for the first 3. It's still fun to watch but it lacks the substance the originals had.

Twilight. I'm not going to be a hater. Sure, I make jokes about it and I can say for sure that I can't stand this movie at all but seen from an objective perspective I can't say this movie is good. Not even the story but also the actors weren't that great.

Minions. Not what I would call 1 Billion-at-the-box-office-worthy.

Minions. How a film about talking tatertots became an instant hit is beyond me.

Avatar. A CGI fest with the plot of Pocahontas. Unworthy of the praise it gets.

Jurassic world. An ok film, but heavy on the CGI and with a sub-par plot. Unneeded hybrid dinosaur. I was actually more excited to see baby apatosaurus than I was to see "I. rex".

I don't understand why the Martian was so well received, either. There were much better Space movies last year. I think most of the critical community is telling lies.

I love Ridley Scott movies, even ones that most people seem to hate like The Counselor, but I have no interest in seeing The Martian. It looks more like a Ron Howard movie, the kind of movie that critics and audiences go nuts over when it's released but is quickly forgotten.
