What are your opinions, Sister Ashley?

Not bad, but I wish they animated the Addams' better. Looked too. . . cartoony.

I rather liked The Intern.

Logan.

Lots of action. Lots of drama. Lots of bloodshed. Depressing.

It's a dystopian film and dystopian films tend to be depressing in nature.

However, I also liked this film too.

I also recently saw Motherless Brooklyn. I thought it was okay.

I also saw Thirst. Korean vampire flick. Because it was heavy on the love and religious scenes, and not enough vampire/horror, I don't really recommended it. Fairly violent, though. At least it didn't feature that many over-the-top crying scenes like Korean films are prone to having.

Anna Karenina (Keira Knightley version)

Not impressed to be honest.
Lots of pseudo-musical busyness in the production and set design without it being a musical, but all they seemed to achieve with this was drawing the plot out without adding to it: I’m pretty sure it was meant to put across the themes of the novel in some way, but without having read it these devices just came across as conceited frippery going nowhere.
Which I’ll take as a failure.

Jude Law was good as Prince Karenin though, top performance on his part.

Uncut Gems

Adam Sandler played his part perfectly - a worthless scumbag jeweler/gambler despised by all. The movie was pretty good save for the loud 80's synth soundtrack throughout.

Doctor Sleep.

Not up to par with The Shining, but still enjoyable. An adult Danny Torrance tries to drown out his visions brought to him by his gift with alcohol, drugs, and violent rage, but finds some redemption in the form of a new best friend and recovering alcoholic, and work in a hospice where he gains the name Dr. Sleep by comforting the dying. And then he is contacted by a mixed race teen girl named Abra with an even more powerful grip on the Shining than he ever had. She is in danger as she's being hunted by dangerous psychopaths also in touch with the Shining, but who live for ages by torturing and murdering children also with the gift in order to drain them of their souls. Danny must return to the Overlook to confront their high priestess.
