Made by the producers of The Matrix ... Romeo Must Die ... loved this! Romeo remains a gentleman through and through in this. Amazing fight scenes, soo funny, great acting by Aaliyah.

Synopsis: When former Hong Kong cop Han discovers his wayward brother has been killed in a gang war, he escapes from prison and makes his way to the streets of San Francisco. There he forms the focus of a factional war between the Chinese and black gangs, and falls for the rival mob bosses daughter.

I watched these because my father loved reading and watching Westerns whenever he could.

His favorite Western actor was Clint Eastwood, but he did like John Wayne.

Had my father managed to get through his treatments without any problems, he would be turning 61 tomorrow.

He passed the day after I turned 12 back in 2002 at the age of 43.

Bloodshot.

Superhero movie about a resurrected soldier given nanotechnology in his body to give him incredible strength and healing. Even though his memory has been wiped, he is able to recall the murder of himself and his wife, and so goes on a bloody trail of vengeance. But then he comes to realize he can't trust those memories, or the scientist who had brought him back with improvements. Fun movie.

Clint Eastwood is a cool. Your dad had great taste. Hugs.

Thanks, Brother Cecil.

When he was stationed (he served in the US Army, but never saw any combat) in South Korea (before he got reassigned to Central America), I assume it may be the place where he developed
a strong liking for martial arts movies.

I saw Recess for the first time since I last saw it, many years ago and it brought back memories and cringey jokes that drove my senses to overload. I kept twitching and screaming through out the film.....so many film references and throwbacks!

The Jesus Rolls.

John Turturro shows us the further adventures of Jesus, the Dude's rival in the bowling lanes in the Cohen Brother's hilarious film, The Big Lebowski. But while the Cohen brothers movie was actually entertaining, this sorry excuse of a movie quite simply is not. A waste of five dollars I spent to buy this stinker.

The second X-Files movie (The X-Files: I Want To Believe) is on Hulu now so I've been watching and re-watching it a lot.
