i think tim burton's done better. visuals were nice but nice visuals and throwing johnny depp in a silly outfit doesn't disguise the fact that the movie was averagely average. also it seemed like alice's character didn't flesh out too well.

I'm so happy you love it too! :D It's hard finding others who enjoy it as much as I do, because the general consensus seems to be "meh".

I like to dress up like Alice sometimes, because I have a blue dress and high heels.

By the way, the movie is coming out on DVD (and available to buy on iTunes) June 1st. I'm really looking forward to being able to watch it any time I like. I feel like I'm going through Alice in Wonderland withdrawals from having not seen it in two months. :(

I enjoyed all the cameos and alot of the acting. Some of the visual effects were stunning as well.

I was disappointed by the last 20 minutes though. Seemed to be an effort to make Alice in Wonderland into a coherent narrative, which it never has been.
It's one of the reasons I liked the book so much, it settled for being amusing and punished the reader for trying to look too deeply into what was being said.

Are you getting the 3 disc bluray? I'm buying mine digitally through iTunes, since I watch all of my movies on my iPod Nano now. :) I have like 16 Johnny Depp movies in my library already. I'm such a huge fangirl for him.

I'm the same, I love Johnny's movies. I have a lot of them. I don't know what I'm getting yet. I might be getting The Wolfman first or both. Depends on the money lol.

TERRIBLE MOVIE!

It felt like a Disney film that happened to be directed by Tim Burton when it should have been a Tim Burton film that happened to be produced by Disney. I mean god the dialog was terrible, plot was terrible, script was terrible. And also it was converted 3d and not true 3d which made it even worse.

While I disagree about the movie being "terrible", I do have to agree that the movie feels more "Disney" than "Burton". Makes me wish a different studio had backed it.

(Gives thread life)

I never got a chance to post in this thread!

Great movie! However, I wish it was longer so I could explore the characters more.

If the Jabberwocky had wings, why didn't it fly?

I thought the Red Queen was funny when she screamed her Bloody Big Head off!

Red Queen: "Someone has stolen three of my tarts!!"

Red Queen: "Liars! Cheats! Falsifiers!! Off with their heads!!"

I liked the approach but the characters themselves (especially Alice) didn't work for me. Thus every lead heroine these days have to have that weird/emo/goth vibe? I mean, come on,.
