I liked Batman Begins as well although its nowhere near my favourtie bat film. I am sorry though TDK is way down there with batman and robin. I loved batman and batman forever was good. Batman and Robin was crap and so was TDK. I was dissapointed by bad how TDK was when I first saw the film because I had high hopes.

Nolan really does get the wrong idea becasue its like he tried his best to make the dark knight boring.

Shock horror, the attention-seeking internet troll is back! Whatever shall we do? In all fairness, Forever is a faded relic that is only loved by those who have an enormous hard-on for the 60's series. Kilmer is a wooden Batman, O'Donnell an annoying Robin, Carrey an equally annoying Riddler, TLJ a hammy and bad Two Face, and Nicole Kidman was hot, but completely uninterested at times. All the camp and neon hurt my eyes and ears, it's at the bottom of the pile in my eyes.

Order of quality:

Begins
Dark Knight
Returns
Mask of the Phantasm
89
Forever
Robin

Im watching Begins at the moment  which is vastly superior in every concievable way. Oooh, i blasphemed Jamesy's fave movie, MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I know but it sickens me the amount of praise bat fans give the dark knight. the worst bat film i have ever seen. Batman Returns took a giant sh** on that borefest.

Returns and TDK piss on Schumacher's abortions from a colossal height, as do i on your attention-seeking opinions!

NO TDK and Returns did not s**t from a collosal height on batman forever.

Val Kilmer is not a bad batman becasue BOB KANE THOUGHT HE WAS THE BEST. And I don't care what you say the acting in batman forever was top quality. In the Dark Knight its like all the characters are whispering to each other.

Like I said Forever and TDK are 2 different breeds of batman films and are hard to compare. Sure maybe TDK is sought of faithful to the comics (althought not really) but what is so wrong with a loud dramatic film? The Dark Knight is just sleep inducing at times although there are some good bits its not that much of a great film.

*yawn* Get off your high horse and go back to nursery school, Jamesy. Or better yet, why don't you break someone's jaw because we don't share you opinion. Kilmer is so wooden, he doesn't convince at all.

In short, Begins and TDK superior, Forever INFERIOR!

Kilmer played the role very cooly and he took great time to represent the character of bruce wayne. He did a good job at playing a tourtured bruce wayne which is represented through the films flashbacks.

That is why batman forever was a good film becasue although it had many camp moments it did take time to reflect over bruce wayns life and tragedy of him loosing his parents.

That is also why burtons films are better than nolans becasue batman and batman returns are not overworked and do not take themselves too seriously.

I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!

Kilmer's fight scenes were so weak and cartoony, as was the anticlimatic finale. When are you going to realise that comic book films aren't for kids anymore? I watched Batman 89 yesterday night and it felt incredibly dated and empty behind Jack Nicholson's swagger and sneer, but i STILL rewatch 89 and Returns from time to time for that nostalgic feeling.

Having said that, i REFUSE to watch Schumacher's abominations because i feel violated and offended everytime i hear that gay Robin quote (Holy rusted metal) and seeing the neon covered lighting and the idea of Batman being a celebrity. Schumacher has made some good movies, Forever ISN'T one of them.

Stop repeating yourself, you were amusing at first, now you are nothing but a pathetic little annoyance.

So what if Nolans bat films are for adults? Does not excsue the fact that there still quite BORING and charmless. You know it is posssible for adult films to be not boring. Ever thought of that?

I used to watch Batman Forever all the time when I was little. I think the reason why it's so campy is because Schumacher didn't get final cut authority. From what I've read, there was a whole plethora of footage shot that was cut, in particular a scene in which Bruce encounters a bat-like creature from his childhood in the deepest recesses of the Batcave.

You are forgetting that The Dark Knight is the THIRD HIGHEST GROSSING FILM OF ALL TIME! And that almost everybody! Even people who didn't even like Batman or comic books before the movie LOVED IT!

I well aware of that, Barry Norman.

Which totally explains the fact that Batman and Robin is even campier.

The problem is you guys are just out to get schummacers films.

You know even heath ledgers acting can't distort the fact that the dark knight is FAR from a masterpiece and quite dull. The storyline as well is hard to follow unless you really pay attention to the film.

What do you mean reading comprehension abilities?
