Batman Forever was a great film. Batman and Robin was not that good and nowhere near as enterating as batman forever but COME ON I don't see why people to this day keep harping on about batman and robin and saying how terrible it is when in reality its a slightly below medicore movie.

GOD it was 1997 CAN WE JUST MOVE ON and stop ridiculing Joel Schummacher for that film.

us REAL batman fans ridicule batman and robin for being a horrible film. it almost killed batman and the whole superhero movie genre.

p.s. i still don't get WHY you love batman forever so much

because it is a great movie. it portrays batman pretty accurately. the burton films showed absolutely no idea about batman (i.e making batman a murdurous thug, making joker the one to kill batman's parents, making bruce wayne to look autistic, batman gets beaten up etc.) the schumacher films made batman to be a kid's character again, which is a BAD idea. the batman comics are very dark and gritty, including muder violence, etc. it is NOT a kids story. schumacher's films have the cheesy one liners, homoerotic subtext, and HORRIBLE ACTING. the nolan films have the morals and code of batman. batman lives by his code of not killing people, batman is able to beat the s**t out of criminals, bruce wayne is finally a "mask" to not have suspicision drawn to him as batman, having batman disguise his voice (if bruce wayne was to talk in his normal voice, he'd be recognized EASILY, connsidering he is one of the most famous people in the world. also the voice in TDK was a result of nolan tampering with it post production, he talked like the did in batman begins), and having Joe Chill kill batman's parents. sure the nolan films also has it flaws, like the two-face arc too short. but it is MUCH better than either burton's or schumacher's films

It portrays batman as being 'boring' and 'dull' you mean?

The acting was very good i thought in batman forever not so much batman and robin. the dark knight had bad dilaouge and you could not hear what the characters were saying some of the time.

BELIEVE me I tried to watch the dark knight on my home tv cinema system and 10 minutes into the film even when trying to concentrate i just completely lost track of the plot becasue the way the film was shot and just the general look of gotham city is too realistic where batman is concerned. i don't like the way the batman and realism mix together.

don't kid yourself batshit even though many fans claim that the dark knight and batman begins were out of this world revolutionary films i bet in thier mind they were slightly dissapointed but wanted to keep the fan boy dilusion/batman dream alive after schummachers films that they lied and said the films were the best ever.

batman begins saved batman from the campiness you love so much. you know what i think? i think you saw batman forever as a kid, and absolutely loved it. then you saw batman begins and hated it becaue it was too dark. since you never read the comics, you had no idea that batman was supposed to be dark. since you saw batman forever you think batman is supposed to be campy, regardless of how many people tell you otherwise. deny this all you want, but you and i both know that you love batman and robin.

p.s. do you like the 60's series w/ adam west also?

Well then Batshit would that not account for all the others millions of people who saw batman forever as a kid and loved it as well? I bet a lot of people after getting used to batman forever etc did not like the change in batman begins.

oh yeah batshit i always knew as well that batman was dark since i grew up watching batman TAS but i still disliked how it transfered to the big screen. leave the dark aspect for the cartoons.
