Therefore I have little hope that there will be a sequel to the 2010 Alice in Wonderland movie, even though that's something I would really love to see.

As would I, but the problem with making a big hit like that is trying to follow up on it, especially if the story doesn't leaving any big openings.

Titanic 2? There was only one Titanic. It sunk, it stayed sunk. How can there be a sequel?

District 10 is coming out and I'm quite happy!

Other than that:
Galaxy Quest 2 (though nobody else seems to like this film and it's not 'that' great)
More/Another Firefly/Serenity
Superman 2 (of the reboot)
Daybreakers sequel
Golden Compass/His Dark Materials sequel (well clearly this could happen)

Perhapes we need a novelty film, titanic two where the skilled crew of the titanic spot the iceberg in time, drive around it and get to new york safely.

The 1997 "Titanic" is easily the length of two movies, so just pretend like there already was a sequel. :)

Netflix actually has a 2010 movie called "Titanic 2" which was direct-to-DVD.

"Titanic irony looms when the new luxury cruise liner Titanic 2, setting sail a century after the sinking of its ill-starred namesake, seems destined to come to a similarly soggy end when an ocean tsunami pushes an iceberg into its path. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration researcher Kim Patterson (Brooke Burns) and Coast Guard Capt. James Maine (Bruce Davison) lead the bid to save the giant ship and its passengers from annihilation."

Are you going to immediately rent/buy "Titanic 2" since it already exists?
