That woman from Red Faction was pretty unruly.

Dave,

In MGS I think the Colonel tells you that you need to switch the controllers after you've died a few times. So if you gave up after a couple of tries, gave up then came back again later for a couple more, maybe that's why you didn't get the message.

I found Dhoulmagus in Dragon Quest VIII to be a total pain in the ass. When I first faced him I was at level 23. I spent days grinding so that I could eventually beat him. Every other big battle after him was a piece of cake.

I second Culex from SMRPG. That was a fun battle.

The bosses in the Via Infinito dungeon in FFX-2 were also really hard, although in the end the outcome of those battles were decided by who was the cheapest. FFX wasn't that hard, with maybe the exception of Seymour when you're fighting him upon Mt. Gagazet.

Hardest:

Cyberon and hundreds of the same characters in the final level of Doom 2. They keep respawning its impossible. Anything with loads and loads of the same characters constantly attacking me is hard to me.

Easiest:

Dunno, most other bosses are pretty easy. I rarely play games with bosses in them.

In final fantasy 10 I think I have both, the final boss had to be the easiest boss ever but daddy dearest was nearly impossible to kill.

Bleh...if you think that Metroid Prime was a hard boss, you haven't been playing games too much.

I'd say the Reactor Core or the Final Boss in Ikaruga were two of the tougher shoot-em-up bosses I've played. Not that I have Radiant Silvergun mind you, but I'm not made out of money.

The final mission of Metal Slug 3 was just insane in it's difficulty, just because having to fight evil clones of your boyfriend/girlfriend was maddening. That and the Martian Boss just...wouldn't...die.

Kanon the Wizard from Guardian Heroes is pretty beastly.

Those are all the tough bosses I recall having trouble with.

Most of the Metal Slug games are hard because they're designed to make you keep putting in lots of money. Unfortunately I've never even got up to the end of any Metal Slug game. :(

acttually magic i've been playing games since i was 5 or 8 i just don't have any military style, horrer style, and super violent games they just don't appeal to me.

most of my games are sonic games, mario games, zelda, metroid of course, kingdom hearts, stuff like that i don't like any of the above mentioned styles of games and my mom won't let me get them.

so basicly i don't have much to pick and choose from.

I am not one for violent or gory games much either, mainly because I find a lot of them really boring. I'm more of a RPG nut (JRPGs and action-RPGs, like Zelda and KH). The only game that could really fit that 'gory' category that I've really liked in recent times is Resident Evil 4. It's got a real adventure-RPG feel to it, even though it's supposed to be survival-horror.

Yeah, RE4 has become my firm favourite of the series, although of the "original series" (aka games dealing with the T-Virus), Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and Resident Evil 0 are my favourites.

The only game there I mentioned that could be considered super-violent is Metal Slug (rated T from when I recall) and compared to stuff like Mortal Kombat, it's pretty tame. Ikaruga is a space-shooter (rated E); you can easily find it for Gamecube.

Kanon the Wizard is from Guardian Heroes, an action-RPG for the Saturn (rated T).

yeah but i was saying is i don't have much veriaty in my games so not much bosses to choose from but that ikaruga sounds like a cool game.

my main problem is usually the cover of the game, anything with a goofy [as my parents say] cover i can't get i didn't make this rule.

so basicly i don't have much to pick from.

i got another tough boss.

the wireframe people from super smash bros melee i think it's meniac mode or something. i've gone in there with the heavyest character and got KOed in 3 or 4 hits and i wasn't even able to attack. well might not be a boss but those guys are tough.

Easiest boss ever is the Goldfish from Earthworm Jim. The entire game hyped him as some superpowerful being, and all you had to do was push his fishbowl off the table, leaving him a fish out of water.

I got one of the easiest bosses ever.

Megaman X: Freeze Penguin

of course that tends to be the staple of all Megaman games that theres Always gonna be one guy whos a "gimme-putt" and you can beat with little difficulty using only your default ability's.
...
....
....of course....that being said, when I found a SNES emulator and a ROM for Mega man X, only I had to use the arrow keys and the A,S,Z,X, keys instead of a controller, I got my ass-kicked by him. ;_;

Kriegor from Far Cry.

Heck most of that last level was ridiculous. The rocketeer in the hallway before meeting him amongst all those other armored grunts, the ridiculous number of mutants the big crater area, etc.

Easiest was Prince Heinrich in Return to Wolfenstein, all the guy did was walk around slowly waving a big sword around. The UberSoldats were far harder... 1000 year old Demon Prince vs Yank with a machine gun... I know who I'd bet on...

Hardest... Most of the optional bosses in Final Fantasy are pretty nasty. Emerald and Ruby WEAPON in FF7. Ultima and Omega in FF8 etc.
