Another thing: Brian's parents. Oh brother.

First off: Why the pressure for perfect grades? Shouldn't they know that's counterproductive? The kid tried to kill himself, and they don't even take the hint that something in their parenting style is wrong?

As someone with an asian parent (asian parents are insane about education) -- no, they don't realize that at all.

Ok, maybe a little if the kid has a serious, verfied-by-a-doctor collapse of health due to stress at some point.
