1) Star Wars Episodes V The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
2) The Dark Knight (2008)
3) Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope (1977)

NOTE: I'm not 100% sure that I would consider Empire my favourite movie. It's either that or The Dark Knight.

1) Wall-E (the first half hour is the best piece of movie I've ever seen)
2) The Dark Knight (an absolute work of art. It's such a long movie, but you never realise it until it's over)
3) The Green Mile (a bit iffy whether or not it deserves to be this high, but I do love this movie)

Honourable mentions would be the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy (mostly the first and third movies, though), Shawshank Redemption, Cruel Intentions and Mulan.

I'm probably forgetting a ton of great movies that I love and will remember later on and slap myself for.

It's hard when I like a lot of films.

I read about the dvd versions of bangkok hilton and it sounds at least on wikipedia that none of them is worth ordering. Do you have a dvd copy and if so where did you get it?

I did too. It blew me away, and was pretty much glued to the chair for the full 4 hours of it.

lol. The German Language Version is the best. I have no interest in watching the dubbed.
