You've brought up a good point. Although I'm not a fan of the show & I do not watch regularly at all, why can the producers not state the kid is autistic? The kid presents with the penultimate classic symptoms of the text-book autistic child. I think the programme loses credibility because of this. Granted, the programme is fiction but it does need to make sense and agree with what is currently known and well-established. It is autism.
