For me it would be Fight Club. I also identify with movies about addicts even though I'm not one (because they are screwed up).

JFK, because it spoke to me in that Kevin Costner as the late Jim Garrison questioned what was considered fact (the president killed by a lone shooter), to the extent that he was ridiculed, called a fraud, and even had his sanity questioned. And yet he held to what he believed was right, even if it in the end destroyed his promising career as a district attorney.
And the notion of out of control intelligence operatives and right wing fanatics ranging against Garrison fits in with the sense that I tend to have of a hostile universe collapsing on top of me.

Butterfly Effect mainly. There are a few others as well, but just can't think of them at the moment.

A couple movies I found the characters in kind of relatable are Miss Congeniality (as someone mentioned previously), and Ghost World. Of course, neither movie is "totally me," since:
re: Miss Congeniality: I haven't been in a beauty pageant or been a CIA agent (but the sort of life she normally had, doing guy stuff and having not very feminine interests, and then how she relates to the beauty pageant people after her makeover is sort of how I feel on the odd occasion I do end up sort of trying to fit in with that kind of person),
and re: Ghost World: I didn't have a friend like either of the characters in Ghost World or do any of the sort of things they did in that movie, but yet I could still relate to the tone of the girl characters fairly well (probably Enid moreso).

Do you see other girls who are into 'girly' things as a bit ridiculous?

Well, I suppose (although it depends on a matter of degree). In some ways, I suppose the most extreme "girly" types are probably just acting, which seems like a waste of resources to me, unless it's something they're really into (rather than just trying to please others).

The number 13 ( or whatever it was called ) with Jim Carey- getting obsessed over numbers
Ghost town with Ricky Gervais-Not going to start a debate on that topic of dead people but I can relate to it
The usual suspects-kevin spacey's character
About a Boy with hugh grant-the main character whos name I cannot remember and his viewpoints on things as well as how this is not accepted socially
Withnail and I and monty python films in general keep me feeling a little more sane on the whole in comparison to my world LOL

I often feel like M. Hulot in "Mon Oncle" I think I often see and am amused by details no one else ever notices or cares about. (Not that Hulot really notices the jokes in the film... He's rather oblivious to the chaos of the world around him. But I'm often like that too.) I think the scene I relate to most is where he finds a plastic cup that bounces on the floor so he tries the same trick with a glass which immediately shatters.

If I ever made a film, it would be like a film by Sofia Coppola.

I wouldn't say that her films are like me and I don't think I have ever seen a film that was like me.

But the way that she visualizes things on screen and the way she applies music seems so intuitive to me. She's not trying to stage things so much. I hate staged films. Like that new George Clooney film. I don't hate the guy, but his role is just such a cliché. I think I have even read about Oscars rumours. If this film wins an Oscar... I don't know... There's so many people who'd deserve awards, in my opinion, but they'll never get them because films like this get one.

I looove Withnail and I. Films like this are the reason why I love England so much.
About a Boy was a great book, but I have never seen the film. I loved High Fidelity though. I can relate to the main character's relationship with music.

haha good choice!! what I remember mostly about this movie is a creeking/squeeky door that kept opening and closing! Mon Oncle is full of details like that.

The movie that totally identifies me in every aspect is White Oleander I am totally the character Astrid played in that movie
I could totally relate with her in every way.

Her desperation for love and acceptance.
Blindly trusting her mother and loosing the respect when realising her mother is a chronic narcissistic
Not having faith in true love running away from it
Not showing trust on people.

Ultimately trying to end being everything opposite of her mother...
This movie was just made for me.

Janet Fitch the author of the book 'White Oleander' writes some wonderful quotes

I would like to share
Loneliness is the human condition. Cultivate it. The way it tunnels into you allows your soul room to grow. Never expect to outgrow loneliness. Never hope to find people who will understand you, someone to fill that space. And intelligent, sensitive person is the exception, the very great exception. If you expect to find people who will understand you, you will grow murderous with disappointment. The best you'll ever do is to understand yourself, know what it is that you want, and not let the cattle stand in your way.”
― Janet Fitch, White Oleander

*"Dont attach yourself to anyone who shows you the least bit of attention because you're lonely. Lonliness is the human condition. No one is ever going to fill that space. The best thing you can do it know yourself... know what you want." - Janet Fitch "White Oleander"

*"You've got to let go of who you were, to become who you will be." - Janet Fitch, "White Oleander"

"*Take my advice and stay away from broken peole" - Janet Fitch "White Oleander"
