Matt Smith, he's so natural at it, and his Doctor seemd genuinely alien.

I enjoy something from all Doctors though, especially on audio from Big Finish.

Matt Smith.

He is quite easy on the eyes, isn't he?

David Tennant is for sure my favorite.

But I've liked all the other ones I've seen (Matt Smith, Christopher Eccleston, Paul McGann, and part of a few episodes with Tom Baker). I haven't been able to find any full episode of the classic series, and I don't have Netflix, otherwise, I would've seen more Doctors.

1channel.ch has links to many episodes hosted on other sites. I'm working my way through them, but some aren't available.
I was looking forward to starting season 3 but the first serial was thrown out of the archives. :(

Its a toss up between Matt Smith and David Tennant.

Bit like asking who is your favorite James Bond, the first of course, Sean Connery, after that, its like having an actor play the part of the actor who IS James Bond,

To be fair to the Dr's, at least there is a story line that accommodates the change in the Drs physical appearance, non-the-less, my Favourite is still William Hartnell, he was an old Grandfather type fellow, that still had the cantankerousness one should expect of a man in his position. He had an other-worldly air about him.

My least favourite was Jon Pertwee, it was during his reign that I ceased watching Dr Who, with the silly props like his clowns car, he did to Dr Who what Roger Moore did to James Bond, turned something mysterious into something silly.

Now the very first film I saw, and at the pictures at that, was in 1965, Dr Who and the Daleks, nowadays, we are bombarded with amazing effects, but back the, you cannot imagine how incredible seeing this film was to us group of small kids from the Childrens home, it was like nothing we had ever imagined before.

Paul McGann, Tom Baker, Patrick Troughton, Peter Davidson are my favorites after that it gets wibbly-wobbly however David Tennant comes out as the least favorite, he was good/ great though, they all were except Matt Smith who is great. Also I almost never go anywhere without my sonic screwdrivers (Fourth Doctor's, Tenth Doctor's, Eleventh Doctor's).

Since this year is the show's 50th anniversary, I've been watching the show in order from the start. At the moment, I'm up to the 1968 story, The Dominators, from the Second Doctor's era. This is actually a frustrating period to explore as so many episodes are missing which makes this era hard to judge fairly. Thankfully, the majority of Pat Troughton's final season exists so I won't have many more of these gaps to come.

Anyone else been rewatching the show from the beginning or tempted to do so?

I did that in January-February. It was awesome though I did not have the fiftieth anniversary in mind, Ijust wanted to catch up.

Cool. Was it a specific era that you focused on or did you just watch stories that you hadn't seen before?

All episodes. I have been meaning to do this for years and at my current job I often watch TV/ movies at work while maintaining good productivity and was able to catch up from the beginning quickly. Also prior to this I saw very few TV episodes but listened to many radio episodes and I have listened to many more in recent months.

I have been. I'm up to the first Second Doctor story. As for the missing episodes, I've been listening to the audio recordings on youtube, complete with telesnaps so that you can tell what's going on. Quite entertaining, really.

I am aware of that method of watching missing episodes but to be honest, I find telesnap reconstructions a real chore to watch unless they're cutdown versions like a few that have been released to DVD. I'm much more in favour of animating missing episodes as we have seen with some of the recent classic Who DVDs and I'm glad that there are more to come.

I loved the 9th, until the 10th came along, then I loved the 10th, until the 11th came. The 11th is by far my favorite doctor.

I was introduced to Doctor Who through my father when I was little, but Tennant is my favorite. I didn't become passionate about the series until the 2005 reboot and he was the reason why.

I think Matt Smith himself has potential, but I can't get past the writing to enjoy him. The show currently relies on being as random as possible for humor (lazy comedy) and I haven't been able to get attached to him as a character because of the way he's portrayed. He just doesn't engage my emotions or my curiosity the way Tennant did, even when he's giving a speech.

I'm a little disappointed that the production value in the episodes has increased so much. I still love the show, but it doesn't have the same campy aspect it once did (such as whenever the TARDIS would take off).

I have seen a few of those as well and they are good, but not all of the missing episodes have been animated--yet. Till then, telesnaps do not bother me in the least.
