Have you ever watch a rated R movie in high school?

"The Patriot" with Mel Gibson is rated-R, and it's the only movie I can think of about The American Revolution. So it seems like a movie that might be shown in a high school.

By the way I heard that all it takes for an R rating is for f*** to be said twice or more throughout the entire movie.

Yeah, I think I did. Probably at home, I think I went in a couple times with my mum to the cinema. In Ontario the ratings are usually lower than in the states. You hardly ever see rated R movies these days, it's always 14A or something along those lines. Of course I don't think about it twice anymore.

I watched so many R-rated movies in school. Especially in Social Psychology.

Bucketloads. You're looking at the kid whose favorite film is To Live and Die in L.A.

I remember at school once we all had to watch "Threads", which was a grim and depressing BBC drama about a nuclear war. I thought it was a bit much to make kids watch it.

Most of the time, if I had to watch a film at school it would bore me to tears. The fact that I was being forced to watch it would put a kind of mental block over me.

The exceptions were films that I had already seen and knew I liked.

The Patriot and an edited version of Saving Private Ryan.

Anything else we watched I can't recall.

Not that I can remember, actually. OK, maybe BASEketball on DVD, does that count?

I forgot to bring home my slip and had to read the book rather than watch the movie once. I managed to read the book in the same time it took them to watch it!
