I'd always had a soft spot for the classics. Vintage Disney, Looney Tunes, Popeye, Betty Boop and so on. Back when I was a kid you could rent videos for the new toy back then known as a VCR and they were uncensored so I could happily watch Daffy's beak ending up on other parts of his head by Elmer's gun and I never even once thought about doing it in real life. In fact I used to watch Tom and Jerry and the Pink Panther -on TV- that were uncut and you'd think I'd be a raging lunatic by now. But I know it was a cartoon and therefor NOT real! :P

Although some of the Tom and Jerry cartoons were pretty grim. There was this one cartoon where Jerry and his little nephew or friend Tuffy, or Nibbles, or whatever his name was were the Mouse Musketeers in Paris and at the end when Tom had failed to catch them he was beheaded! It showed Jerry and Tuffy walking by and they look up and see the gilloutine blade drop and Nibbles says in French, "Poor, poor pussycat" and then he shrugs and says, "C'est la vie" Whaaat?! 8O But I also saw some pretty dark Disney shorts like "Pluto's Judgement Day", but it turned out Pluto just had a bad dream and it had a happy ending where he kisses and makes up with the cute baby kitten he'd been chasing earlier. That was on a video I once watched called Scary Tales and it even had the Skeleton Dance, which I actually liked. :)

I'm a fan of the classics too: Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, most old Hanna-Barbera (Anyone remember Pixie and Dixie?).

Flintstones
Jetsons
Smurfs
Sunday morning (in my area) Hanna-Barbera block (Richie Rich, Fantastic Max, Midnight Patrol)
Original My Little Pony 'n' Friends (favorite companion show was Moondreamers)
Nickelodeon shows like Noozles, Adventures of the Little Koala, Maya the Bee
Sailor Moon; later on, Inuyasha, Fullmetal Alchemist, Yu Yu Hakusho, Paranoia Agent
(Rewatching the Japanese version of Sailor Moon now--the Dic dub did not do it justice, IMO)
Much of the Disney Afternoon block (Ducktales, Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck)
Tiny Toon Adventures
Animaniacs

Ah...memories. :D

I was (and still am) big on the original three Nicktoons - Doug, Rugrats, and especially Ren & Stimpy. (Particularly the original 1991-94 runs of the former two, and the John K-produced first two seasons of the latter.) Though I was limited to what was released on home video since I did not have cable. Also watched some of Aaaah!! Real Monsters and Rocko's Modern Life, though I never got as into those. Hey Arnold! was a little past my time, though I've watched some of it recently and enjoyed it.

Other than that, shows I still have fond memories of are Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, and Pinky and the Brain, as well as the original Looney Tunes. I used to watch Muppet Babies and Alvin & The Chipmunks a lot as a kid, but those haven't held up well for me (other than their irresistibly catchy theme songs).
