My job actually requires me to watch kids' shows from time to time. I really like Jimmy Neutron and Spongebob, and I can really get into Fairly OddParents if I'm not busy when it comes on at the start of the shift.

But long live the Kids' WB lineup from 10 years ago: Pinky & The Brain, Animaniacs and Earthworm Jim! And Kablam!, which occasionally pops up on Nicktoons.

- SpongeBob Squarepants
- The Fairly Oddparents

Master control operator for...I'd tell you the name of one of the networks but that'd totally give it away. You don't KNOW how cool my job is.

And since you mentioned Beakman's world, I'll throw in a gratuitous reference to one of my favorite PBS shows, Square One TV. I also liked George Shrinks.

8) Cool 8)

I like some kids' shows. I used to watch Rugrats (and got the T-shirt... um... somewhere...) and Wild Thornberrys, Alex Mack, Aaah Real Monsters... Don't really like Spongebob, though.

And... Not Nickolodeon...?

I watched the whole series of "Twins of Destiny" and several episodes of "X-men Evolution" and "Teen Titans". And also lots of cartoon series in Japan.

Why do some people act like this is such a weird thing? I mean, sure, if I was sitting around happily enjoying Blues Clues all by me onesie it would be mighty odd. But I like Avatar and Xiaolin Showdown, Scooby-Doo and Teen Titans, and glad of it.

Having kids makes these more available, though. We also have cartoons on disk, Pinky and the Brain, Animaniacs, and Looney Toons, but of course, those are mostly for adults anyway.

Well, to me, the definition of a "kids' show" is something that is designed for kids only, especially preschoolers. Most cartoons today, like SpongeBob, are designed with both kids and adults in mind.

My current "kids' show" obsession is Peep and the Big Wide World, on Discovery Kids. I mean, how could you not love a show with a sarcastic, egotistical blue duck as one of the main characters (one that wears a sailor hat, as well)? Or a show with a theme song performed by Taj Mahal?

I watch kids shows a lot, actually. I really like Arthur on PBS, and some of the other children's books-turned-cartoons on that channel.

I also like Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Fraggle Rock, Rainbow Brite...there are others, but I can't think of them now.

Pinky and the Brain,
It's Pinky and the Brain.
One of them's a genius
The other one's insane....

I think that's how the theme song goes. Love those guys - the Orson Wells mouse just slays me.

I love cartoons. Though most of the oddball new ones from Japan that are basically marketing campaigns in cartoon form (card captors, pokemon, etc.) I take a pass on. Love cartoon network, nickelodeon. I love Adult Swim too... though I never really saw the humor of ATHF.
