The ending of All Is Lost still confuses me. What happened to the old man {played brilliantly by Robert Redford} at the end? Did he drown or did someone reach down to save him?

2001: A Space Odyssey

There wan one movie we watched where we had to go to imdb to even understand what happened at the end, but I can't recall the title. Will post it later if I recall it.

In 2001 : A Space Odyssey the human astronaut is reborn as a space child who returns to conquer Earth. The section of the movie with the space pod entering the outer regions of Jupiter is played out as a dream sequence through the eyes of the astronaut as his mind and body is reshaped by the aliens.
