When I was in high school, I went to a taping of Family Feud when Ray Combs was the host. This was in the early 90's, so I think he died several years after I attended that taping. It was a band fundraiser, since shows often pay school groups to fill those seats for tapings. It's one of the things about living in the LA area, you had the chance to see a game show or sitcom taping.

When Steve Harvey makes fun of an answer, it means the answer was both terrible and it didn't make sense.

In other words, NOT a 'Good answer!'

I like watching Family Fued, although I never can seem to catch the new episodes. I watch a lot of re-runs on GSN. Some of the answers are ridiculously funny!

SNL has had some good Family Feud sketches.

It seems to me that lately the surveys have gotten a lot more raunchy and the guests are dumber than ever just because Steve Harvey goes nuts every time something off-color is said, which was pretty funny at first but it got old really fast and his reactions are dragged out for too long.

Or maybe I'm just getting old. I do remember back in the 80's when it seemed one guy on the show's answer to every other survey was " HAVING SEX!!"

But I do enjoy all the weird, crazy and really dumb answer montage videos I've seen on YouTube. "Name something "Russia is famous for." "Russians!"
