The Truman Show - I love this movie. I really do like Jim Carrey... in this sort of role. He doesn't do enough of this sort of thing. Anyway, this part is the best, where he knows, he really knows something is wrong and fights desperately to escape. You'd think his viewers would rise in outrage, but no... And the contract whore that is his wife, wow.

From The Sixth Sense, I still don't know why I like this scene so much, it's awful, really. But seeing all the people staring the woman down and knowing she won't be able to do the same thing to the younger sister is satisfying. And of course, the kid is doing something good with his ability.

Harold and Maude - a movie with so many great moments that you really should see it all... but this is special. Harold, on being told by his wealthy and controlling mother that she thinks he needs to grow up (after he fakes his suicide repeatedly and then drives away the girls from the dating service she sent for "They screen out the fat and the ugly...") and that she's going to have his uncle draft him into the service... well, he and his new friend Maude combine their skills to stage this act to get him out of it.

Diwale Dulhania Le Jayenge - Our hero is not getting along with the heroine, of course... it's early in the movie. She got sick of hearing him brag to her girl friend about his piano skills and set him up for public humiliation for it. So of course he has to mess with her before showing his words to be nothing but the truth. Then, since this is Bollywood, he must gloat with a peppy song and kooky dance routine. I just have to chuckle at the moves, even the very steps in the dance seem to be teasing the girl.
I love this movie.

I could go on but I'll limit myself to just one more.
Arsenic and Old Lace - another wonderful movie with a few even more wonderful stand-out moments. This one is so surreal that it works somehow. And in such an old movie, too.
