I don't see how he could be described as a hack, although I fully understand why some people might not like him.

As for the likes of Kevin Spacey, I think people don't understand the difference between the man and the artist: it's ok to admire one and despise the other. If I didn't hold this view I would have to throw away most of my very large book and music collection

Most of what we know of the South (US) here in Europe comes from articles in the media concentrating around poverty, ignorance, crime and bigotry, plus some bashing from other Americans, and yes, some people won't go further than this. I don't know if that's any consolation, TW1ZTY, but I can tell you this: in my long career, I've worked with a lot of Americans, and for whatever reason, the most hard-working, well mannered, professionally proficient, profound and observant of local culture were from the South (granted, they weren't necessarily very fond of it). Strangely enough, the nastiest were from California  Go figure.

I actually made 2 very good friends this way, one is from Alabama, one from Lousiana and they are both amazing people that defy the "ugly American" stereotype.

Long story short: I understand why it bothers you but there are more people out there than you realise who are fully aware that not all Southerners are fitting that particular mould.

It does make me feel better I must admit. :)

But honestly it's not just that, I really just don't think Seth is that great of an entertainer. His jokes are so trashy and juvenile.

But I guess it's not right for me to judge other people for liking him so much. Everyone should be entitled to their opinion.

I mean for example I like cheesy Italian zombie movies from the 1980's and black and white indie horror films. I bet a lot of people arent into those. Lol

I like giallo and black and white indie (horror) movies - it's a big world out there, don't lose hope :)

For Italian Zombie Flicks I love Lucio Fulci's Zombie and Bruno Mattei's Hell of the Living Dead, and for Indie B&W Horror Movies I love Night of the Living Dead, Carnival of Souls, Nosferatu, and House on Haunted Hill. 8)

I don't like him because he's so unoriginal, and he goes out of his way to offend certain people. But I think maybe it's simply because I started maturing and no longer care for juvenile pot head humor.
