I was traumatized by books but the abuse Tom and Jerry do to each other never weighted on my child mind.

i think toons are to tv what soap operas are to reality, a distillation and selective filtration.

Truth be told Anime is shocking oftentimes, as is robot music in bands like Vocaloid and UTAU with very deep dark themes but on the other hand teens relate to in a healing way.
