I thought 15th's introduction was really well done, with how he teams up with Tennant's Doctor. The Christmas special was mostly good too. I'm liking the upbeat, warm personality.

Haven't seen anything passed that. I usually wait for a season to be over then watch it at my own pace.

I'm really enjoying both Gatwa and Gibson so far!

Has anyone seen the fan recreation of any of the lost episodes? I saw part of one done with grayscale animation. It was about Daleks. I liked it.

? I think the BBC commissioned animated reconstructions of these episodes. Are there others not from the BBC?

P.S. I like the animation in those two, as opposed to the animation in "The Celestial Toymaker" (but after seeing the actual fourth episode of that story, I've concluded even the live version must've looked stupid!).

The BBC officially own all the missing episodes. But unofficially there are also fan-made recreations. Some lost episodes only exist in private collections.
I think there are also “official” fan-made episodes. Some are based on telesnaps and audio recordings. Some are recreated from production notes and photos of props and photos of actors from other episodes (etc).
BBC sometimes turns a blind eye if there is no “big money” involved. The fan and BBC relationship can be complicated.

There used to be a website where you could get copies of fan recreations on VHS if you snail-mailed a blank VHS tape to the right fan-boy (I mean “esteemed true believer”). I never did. The web site said BBC knew about them and said they could continue operating as long as they never made DVDs and never charged money.

Christopher Eccleston was my first Doctor and he remains my favourite. Close behind though, is Peter Capaldi. His last scene with Bill was sad to me.

Really enjoying the latest episodes.

Will go back and watch old Doctor Who because there's a lot I haven't seen.

I was reading that some high quality animations were payed for by BBC but the actual profit didn’t cover the costs. So fan made/fan funded may be the only option going forward. Of course BBC would be happy to make a profit if they got the fan made content for cheap or free. Internet gives BBC a much wider market now than the original episodes might have had, but also more competition.

Freevee has a free Doctor Who channel. Watched a bit of “The Three Doctors” yesterday with the first doctor, the second doctor and the third doctor.

I've started watching classic Doctor Who. I do have to say I find it amusing how much the Daleks look and sound the same as today all of the way back in the beginning. lol

I've been a Doctor Who fan since about the age of 7, when I started reading the old Target novelisations. I've not seen everything, and I'm usually a bit behind on the current series as I don't have a TV. I wath on a laptop - almost half my DVD collection is Doctor Who. It's an obsession I always come back to.

I think both the 6th and the 7th are underrated! I watched "Trial" for the first time not that long ago- particularly liked the episodes with the Vervoids.
