Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho
I wasn't interested in Yu Yu Hakusho when it was aired on Cartoon Network Latin America, but my sister seems interested, so I watched the first episode with her.
In the opening, I saw Hiei for first time, and he has a sword! (I like swords, and I could be interested in characters using swords). I didn't know anything about that character, I didn't know his name, and he seems an interesting character. But Hiei didn't appear in the first episode 
I continued watching Yu Yu Hakusho, because I wanted to see Hiei. That made me love Yu Yu Hakusho. Then, Hiei appeared, and he was awesome! 
When Hiei didn't appeared in an episode, sometimes it seemed something boring.
Also, I'm interested in Shigure, Mukuro, Sakyo and Yukina (also from Yu Yu Hakusho). But my favorite is Hiei.
