Vetivert, in the immortal words of TAFKASH: you don't know how much street cred you just lost.

erm... harry potter gives one street cred, eh?

nah.

actually, i realised who it was picoseconds after i'd posted. but as a card-carrying non-fan of HP (and HP means something else to me, btw), i'm afraid my consciousness was probably blocking the information out at the time. :P

One of mine is kind of strange, but not to surprising for those who know me: Guenevere, Queen of King Arthur. Something about her when reading Mallory's "Le Mort D'Arthur". Maybe it was all of that riding out into the field and giving her token to her secret love: Launcelot. Then Launcelot had to break her heart by going into battle with the token of the Baron's daughter, the Lady of Shallott. Of course he broke the heart of Lady Shallott when he revealed to her that he loved only Guenevere, and only caried her token because of the hospitality shown. Great soap opera.

Another is Death from Neil Gaiman's series, but who of a certain age hasn't had a crush on her?

You know, one of my computers has a network name of Hecate. I use a naming convention that all my computers are named after moon goddesses. The whole network's name, though, is Bast.
