I have to admit I like Veggie Tales. It's surprising how many adults are into it. I like the silly songs the best. Lol, at work (in a group home) we always seem to be misplacing a certain person's hairbrush... "Oh where is my hairbrush, Oh where is my hairbrush, Oh where oh where oh where oh where oh where, is my hairbrush?"

I personally find it too juvenile, but for children, I guess it's okay. Better than other shows kids can watch anyway.

Oh Yay!! My therapist's church has a pre-release copy of "Lord of the Beans" and they're having a party to watch it...I am sooo going! I'll have to wear pajamas in public, which is weird, but other than that it will be great! They're also showing my favorite Veggie Tales of all, A Snoodle's Tale. There's going to be pizza and cake to be eaten with sporks(sporks are so weird!). And best of all I have obtained a friend through my therapist who I have yet to meet yet, and she will be there, too! Oh!! I'm so excited! (I especially want to see if the silly song is a LOTB thing, like in "Esther")

I think the silly song is going to have something to do with LOTB. I heard something about "Silly Songs with Elves", a crossover play-off of Elvis and LotR. What was the silly song in Esther, again? I haven't had a chance to watch it recently (in the past six months) and I can't remember. :(

Oooooh! can't wait! The silly song in esther was the puppy song, sung by the woman who came before the king before Esther did.

"Puppies are cuddly, puppies are cute,
They're never nasty or MEAN,
I'd give a home to all the lost puppies,
If ever one day I were Queen!
Puppies, puppies, bouncy, happy puppies
Puppies, puppies of LOVE
Puppies, puppies, tender, fuzzy puppies
lost puppies I love you, love, love!
Puppies are cuddly, puppies are cute,
They're never nasty or MEAN,
I'd give a home to all the lost puppies,
if ever one day I were Queen!"

I used to watch a few of the videos with my friend who was younger than me. I think I was about ten years old at the time.

What makes me laugh still is "The Pirates that don't do Anything". I find their title hillarious

Ah! I didn't think that was a silly song, probably because it wasn't with Larry. ;) It's a good song, and if you watch some of the later videos, she makes her appearance again in a silly song... this time with the cucumber. I can't remember what the song is, but it reminds me of the part where Christian and Satine from Moulin Rouge (those are their names, right?) are up on the rooftop singing. :D

Speaking of, has anyone seen "Lord of the Beans"? I've been waiting to see it ever since the first trailer came out on their website.

*raises hand* I have!! ! It's awesome!! Amazing!! Even the background music is very LOTR...although the songs the characters sing kinda dampen the spoof, it's wonderful. And the Silly song!! Soooo funny! (Much wind pours from your mouth! I go now to do laundry!) You must see it, get the DVD if possible-the menu is even spoofing LOTR

I finally saw it over the weekend. It was really awesome, better than a lot of the other new ones. I liked the sporks and Archibald Asparagus as Bilboy and Mr. Lunt as Ahem. Well, they are two of my favourite characters to begin with. :D

Unfortunately, I have found myself singing "The Hairbrush Song" a lot of times, incidentaly, whilst looking for my hairbrush. I found the lyrics:

Larry: "Oh, where is my hairbrush? Oh where is my hairbrush? Oh, where,
oh, where, oh, where, oh, where, oh, where, oh, where, oh, where, oh,
where oh, where ... is my hairbrush?"

Narrator: "Having heard his cry, Pa Grape enters the scene. Shocked and
slightly embarrassed at the sight of Larry in a towel, Pa regains his
composure and reports ..."

Pa: "I think I saw a hairbrush back there!"

Larry: "Back there is my hairbrush. Back there is my hairbrush. Back
there, back there, oh, where, back there, oh, where, oh, where, back
there, back there, back there ... is my hairbrush?"
Narrator: "Having heard his joyous proclamation, Junior Asparagus enters
the scene. Shocked and slightly embarrassed at the sight of Larry in a
towel, Junior regains his composure and comments ..."

Junior: "Why do you need a hairbrush? You don't have any hair!"

Narrator: "Larry is taken aback. The thought had never occured to him.
No hair? What would this mean? What will become of him? What will become
of his hairbrush? Larry wonders ..."

Larry: "No hair for my hairbrush. No hair for my hairbrush. No hair, no
hair, no where, no hair, no hair, no hair, no where back there, no hair
.. for my hairbrush."

Narrator: "Having heard his wonderings, Bob the Tomato enters the scene.
Shocked and slightly embarrassed at the sight of Larry in a towel, Bob
regains his composure and confesses ..."

Bob: "Larry, that old hairbrush of yours ... Well, you never use it, you
don't really need it. So, well, I'm sorry ... I didn't know. But I gave
it to the Peach - 'cause he's got hair!"

Narrator: "Feeling a deep sense of loss, Larry stumbles back and laments
.."

Larry: "Not fair! Oh, my hairbrush. Not fair! My poor hairbrush. Not
fair, not fair, no hair, not fair, no where, no hair, not fair, not
fair, not fair! My little hairbrush!"

Narrator: "Having heard his lament, the Peach enters the scene. Himself
in a towel, both Larry and the Peach are shocked and slightly
embarrassed at the sight of each other. But recognizing Larry's
generosity, the Peach is thankful ..."

Peach: "Thanks for the hairbrush."

Narrator: "Yes, good has been done here. The Peach exits the scene.
Larry smiles, but, still feeling an emotional attachment for the
hairbrush, calls out ..."

Larry: "Take care of my hairbrush. Take care, oh my hairbrush. Take
care, take care, don't dare not care. Take care. Nice hair. No fair.
Take care, take care ... of my hairbrush."

Narrator: "The end

No, I  love  them. Great Christian values too.
