We have some of the un-cut original Muppet Show episodes on DVD and my 14 year old has been watching them. I am increasingly fond of Rolf.

I like many of them, but Statler and Waldorf take the cake.

Some of my favorites:

Waldorf: I can't believe those rats were responsible for this show.
Statler: Why not? They were also responsible for the Bubonic Plague!

Fozzie: A very funny thing happened to me on the way to the theater...
Waldorf: Too bad it didn't happen after you got here!

Waldorf: Well, that was different.
Statler: I should say so. So many of these songs are long and boring.
Waldorf: Yes, they finally managed one short and boring.
Statler: Does that mean they're getting better or worse?

Waldorf: Oh... That number goes back a long ways!
