I haven't played Earthbound yet but you just reminded me that I still have Mother 3 to beat.

You might want to try playing EarthBound first; the later chapters of MOTHER 3 makes a whole lot more sense when you've played EB.

EDIT: Changed my mind - that's not entirely true. You can get through MOTHER 3 without playing EB, and although you won't have the full story, it still makes plenty of sense. Sorry - a waste of post!

I think there will be a Bioshock one, I started the game yesterday and I'm completely shocked by the greatness of this game, if the movie will be out I'll definitely watch it, even tough I never watch movies due to my ridicuolous attention span

There will, 2010 release with Gore Verbinski directing.

Well, the one movie I'd really like to see is a version of The Sands of Time, which fortunately is already in the works and has some serious not-a-piece-of-sh** potential, I think.

Yep, it's coming out next year in june or july. Jerry Bruckheimer is producing and Jake Gylenhall is the Prince. PoP SoT best game ever, if you're a fan of the game though the movie is not be gonna be anything like it.

I can't support any video game to film adaptation so long as Uwe Boll is still breathing.

Mass Effect would be good material to write a film script from. I can't imagine Gears of War as anything but a terrible movie though. It's all action with no plot or characterisation.

I'm hoping it'll capture enough of the game's spirit and story to be worth it. I don't ask for a direct translation, as there's no way that's going to work.

No for sure, it won't work as a direct translation. But from what I hear, there's no Vizier (villain), no Farah (love interest is someone else) and nothing even happens in Azaad and India. I hope it isn't totally different...

But appparently there'll be alot of Parkour and fighting, so we'll have to see.

I think there should be a Mega Man movie.

I vote for the Grand Theft Auto series - if you want to produce the movies in chronological order, that'd be Vice City, San Andreas, GTA III, and GTA IV. In my opinion, GTA, GTA London, and GTA II don't have enough storyline to support a movie (heck, GTA III barely qualifies - a lot of its movie potential, IMO, stems from the use of characters whose backgrounds were introduced in San Andreas, like Claude, who in III didn't even have a name or a voice).

I think Trauma Center would be a good one.

I think there should be one based on the Legacy of Kain games.

Hmm... the plot seems to have changed more than the last time I saw news on it (which was, literally, a thousand years ago). Still, I don't see an indication that it will be more than a partial break with the game's story, so it won't change it completely as far as I can see.

I'd like to see some more obscure ones, old favorites of mine, like a Monkey Island film, or Grim Fandango. Heck, I'd just like to see them release those games updated so that they can be played on newer computers.
