What is your opinion, Brother Cecil?

Good but not great.

Bedelia

A black and white film made in 1946. A scheming woman lures hapless men into marriage, then poisons them to claim the insurance money. This is generally quite highly rated, but it didn't really grab me. It's pretty tame when compared with how this sort of story would be handled in the modern era, and some of the studio sets (supposed to be in Monte Carlo and the Yorkshire Dales) are not too convincing. Still, at least I now know who Margaret Lockwood is, or was (she plays the murderess).

Midsommar.

It was weird, I didn't hate it though.

Malcolm X (1992) was the last one I watched.

It was pretty faithful to the book. I wouldn't recommend watching it before reading the book as it can be difficult to follow along -- my husband hadn't read the book, and he needed me to explain the context for a lot of the scenes.

I enjoyed that movie.

Nancy Drew.
It is the version with the girl from It. My nephew was watching it.

Barfly.

Watched this countless times, but it never gets old! Partially fictionalized autobiopic of writer and poet, Charles Bukowski (as his alter ego, Henry Chinaski) back in the day before he got famous, or was even published, but was just a Skid row drunk.

Merlin (1998). Although technically it's a miniseries.

I thought it was pretty well done. A lot of stuff was added that doesn't come into other Arthur legends I've seen. Especially in depicting Merlin's life before he encountered Arthur's father Uther.

Sounds interesting.

Second best horror movie I've seen after Jacob's Ladder. It was so long and disturbing that I'm not going to rewatch it for a long time though.

The Pink Panther
I actually love the Steve Martin version. It is not as great as the Sellers version but I love this version for what it is and on it's own terms.
