Lonely Hearts

This 2006 film stars John Travolta as a New York detective circa 1950, on the trail of a pair of serial killers who lure lonely women, many of them bereaved in WW2, to their deaths via lonely hearts ads. The killers are played by Jared Leto and Salma Hayek, the latter posing as the sister of the former, but actually his lover. Travolta's character has lost his own wife to suicide, which has left him pretty screwed up, but his eventual solving of the case seems to act as a 'cathartic' release, which enables him to quit his job and move on to a new life, or at least that's what the closing scene seems to suggest.

Not great stuff by any means, seems to drag in places, but watchable despite going on for 1 hour, 43 mins. I had a fair bit of trouble trying to follow the rapid-fire 'Noo York' dialogue here, and had to resort to the subtitles.

Tenet.

Tenet is the code name of a special services soldier who was supposedly killed by Ukrainian gangsters. He is recruited to stop international criminals who can manipulate time. First rate movie.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. It's ... OK. Given the extra length of time they had to play with, it could have been paced a bit better. I was also entertained by all the hasty introductions of characters and subplots that had been left out of the previous films...

Enola Holmes

She is Sherlock Holmes young sister.
I liked this movie as I needed something light and cute to brighten my day.
I also like the young actress Millie Bobby Brown.
