Retelling of Lovecraft's The Shadow Over Innsmouth, taking place in the near future rather than the 1930's, and in the Pacific Northwest rather than New England. Very good modern take on Lovecraft.

Did you get a chance to watch HBO's Lovecraft Country Kraichie?

bohemian rhapsody.
a disnified look at the complex life of the late freddie mercury. but as biographies go, fairly absorbing.

Fargo. Fantastic movie, would definitely recommend if you haven't seen it already.

I particularly like Biographies, and this was a good one. I’d read books on Freddie, his life and days right up to his death and beyond. Queen were and are amazing! “Love of My Life” send chills down my spine whenever I hear it. A complex, immensely talented man was Freddie, and his loyal and band “family”. Saw a documentary of Queen about a week ago, including the introduction of Adam Lambert amidst performances and how well accepted into the fold, he’s become by all involved. Was very good to see! I’ve long listened to Adam Lambert tracks and recognise the huge talent that he brings.

Freddy and the lady (I forgot her name) shared a love which goes beyond sexuality. It's a pity they couldn't get married.

I went to the movie theater today and watched "Promising Young Woman". There is a genre of films called "Psycho Serial Killer" flicks. This film is not that, but rather quite the opposite. So I guess I would place it in the "anti-Psycho Serial Killer" genre.

Who knows it might be the first film in that category. Most films I can guess the entire plot and the ending within about the first 10 minutes of the film. This one I could not. I had to wait to the very, very, end.

Just me and my N95.

Jimmy, what you wrote concerning this film, meant I HAD to see it! Wow! What a film! Most powerful film I’ve seen in a very long time ... maybe ever! More than meets the eye initially, that’s for sure! No words ...

[Aside from ... my son appeared in a play about 2 years ago now entitled “Under Influence”. It was written and directed by an actor from The Bill, who had hoped to take it on the road, starting with the West End, London ... very similar storyline, but this movie .... blew my mind! Thanks for sharing!]
