Watched the weirdest film Ever tonight ... “Thoroughbred”. Whatever you do, don’t watch this ... unless you’re into female teenage sociopaths! Funny in places ...

Hey Spunge :) ... what did you think?

Personally, I Really enjoyed it!

I enjoyed it too. It was crazy how they found actors that looked so similar to characters from The Shining in the flashbacks.

I liked both of the new It as well. Have you seen them? And me and my mom just finished the first season of Castle Rock.

Yes! They did do a good job of finding lookie-likies!

I have “It” downloaded, just haven’t watched it as yet ... I love Stephen King books/movies from way back. Just haven’t gotten round to seeing the newer version as yet. Must look up Castle Rock! 8)

Well it looks like the movie "The Marksman" will be released to the movie theaters next week. The previews looked good. It is staring Liam Neeson. I guess me and my N95 will go see this one.

With vicious drug cartel assassins on their heels, a hardened border town rancher helps a young boy escape to safety across America.

I’m looking forward to this one. Thanks for sharing the trailer! ... and Liam always said he’d be lousy in action films ... how wrong was he!

march of the penguins. tells the often tragic life story of penguins in antarctica and how they must battle nature itself to reproduce and (barely) survive. very sad. i bawled like a baby.  highly recommended. :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: i needed a "palate washer" after that, also to recover some lost testosterone ;) so i re-watched "dr. strangelove (or how i learned to stop worrying and love the bomb)" - the blackest of black comedies. 4 stars due to some technical booboos.

I love films, it is one of my favourite subjects.

The latest ones I watched were:

Did You Hear About the Morgans? Starring Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker. Hugh and Sarah made a surprisingly believable couple, and it was quite a sweet film with a reassuring if corny message.

The Shape of Water. A mute cleaner makes friends with a captured merman. Excellent film with lots of symbolic meanings about being an outcast in society. And fantastic special effects, I hope the merman actor got lots of awards. How he didn't drown in his costume I don't know.

And before Christmas I watched LOTS of Christmas movies to cheer myself up and feel festive.

Morning Glory.

I'm not sure what relevance the title is but it's about a TV show producer who is fired and then gets a new job at a struggling TV show, where she is tasked with stopping it being shut down. Takes a while to get going, but it does star Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton and Jeff Goldblum! And some other actors I half recognised. 4/5.
