Thanks for the suggestions  I think I saw primer when I was having a bad bout of insomnia so I don't really remember it. And I just watched the trailer for predestination, it looks good. Thanks a bunch for the link.
Primer is a confusing film--even when watched fully alert. Even the characters are confused by what is going on. The film is noteworthy because it was made for about $7K (U.S.)--an incredibly small amount--yet was good enough to win two awards at the Sundance Film Festival. Even the details of how the film was made is interesting.

Predestination has a "few" twists OK...a lot of twists!. I very much recommend going in cold...knowing as little as possible in advance.

I hope you enjoy both!!

Both those films sound interesting.

OK, I hope you both enjoy both...and, if you see either, I think it would be interesting if you shared your assessment. With just my opinion to go on there isn't much information for other people trying to decide if they should watch them.

Greenland

It was a good movie...though I wish they had spent more time on the "extinction-level event" and "planet-killer" impact rather than on one strained marriage and a sick kid.

Sounds good. I couldn't find them for free anymore, at least not on the streaming channels we subscribe too. But I showed the trailer for predestination to the family and they thought it looked cool. So next day everyone is off we'll check it out. I'll let you know everyone's assessment

Cute little film. My nephew really liked it.

While I still recommend going into Predestination cold--without learning anything about it beforehand--be forewarned it is not suitable for younger audiences. The IMDb "Parents Guide" lists a couple dozen countries that officially say it is not suitable for children. And I'm guessing the film is probably not suitable for anyone, any age, who has a very closed, conservative, conventional, restrictive viewpoint about sexuality.

Good to know for my niece and nephew are here so I don't watch certain films around them.

Judas and The Black Messiah.

Based on a true story. A black petty criminal named William "Wild Bill" O'Neil is nabbed after he is caught trying to steal a car using a fake FBI ID, and is coerced into working undercover for the bureau by infiltrating the Black Panthers as an informant. While the story is told through O'Neil's eyes, the real hero of the movie is Fred Hampton, the Black Panther leader, who comes to realize that poor people - blacks, whites, and Latinos - have more in common than what separates them. O'Neil first provides the feds with intelligence till Hampton is considered too dangerous, then they have him trying to set Hampton up with a stash of weapons and explosives. When that fails, O'Neil finds himself involved in a conspiracy to murder Hampton.
Very first rate movie, with great performances all around. Martin Sheen makes as sinister J. Edgar Hoover.

Relic (2020)

Image

My thoughts ... Being Aussie, not having heard the accents in a very long time, watching this film was like watching family, though minus the warmth and care. I’m glad I finally watched it, but would not want to see it again. Leaves you cold indeedy!

“Atmosphere is everything in this ghost-less ghost story, in which a house is haunted not by a poltergeist, but the demon of dementia. It’s the kind of disease that afflicts one family member and digs its tentacles into those who try to manage it. Relic marks an auspicious debut for Japanese-Australian director Natalie Erika James, who wants her slow-building thriller to seep into your bones rather than pound you with cheap scares.”

“Australian horror movie turns the effects of disease and dysfunctional mother-daughter relationships into prime supernatural-thriller fodder.”

Haxan.

Valentine's day gift from my wife. Danish 1923 black-and-white, originally silent film, narrated by Beat author William Burroughs with a musical Beat score, this is a recounting of the hysteria and superstition that spawned violent reaction against European witchcraft. First rate, chilling special effects for the time.
