I saw the trailer for this last week, it looks really good.

The animation was quite good. This film was created during lockdown where most of the creators were coordinating through teleconference at home. So its origins were rather different than most films.

I didn't know this. That's actually really cool. I'll probably wait till I can rent it on demand. From the trailer, the animation looked good and pretty seamless. So knowing they couldn't work in person together on it makes that an even greater success. I look forward to seeing it. Also, anything with dragons is fun.

Promising Young Woman.

A medical school drop out seeks revenge for the rape of her best friend, who later committed suicide when she wasn't believed, punishing both male perpetrators, and female accomplices after the fact. First rate revenge horror movie.

It Came from Outer Space

Originally released in 3D--but I watched a 2D DVD.

Get Smart.
Bill Murray's cameo is delightful in this. I also really like Alan Arkin.

To enjoy it you would sort of have to enjoy 50s Sci-Fi films--and not just the great ones.

I enjoy 50s Sci-Fi films, even the only OK ones, so I liked it note: "liked" not "loved"--I am likely in a minority there, though. (For instance, there are few 50s Sci-Fi films that my bride thinks are OK--this isn't one of them--though she politely let me finish the film when her Zoom meeting finished.)

Trivia:

 - It Came from Outer Space is based on a Ray Bradbury story, and apparently was pretty faithful to his film treatment.

 - Russell Johnson, most-remembered from Gilligan's Island, had a supporting role. (More than a bit part.)

 - The most noteworthy thing about the film is what the aliens wanted.

I had seen that movie, myself. First as a little kid, then just a couple of years ago. Great nostalgia.

Other than making you nostalgic, what do you think of the movie? Folk might as well get more than one opinion of it.

P.S. It is not one that brings back fond, young childhood memories for me, though some do....I enjoyed watching It Came from Outer Space because I enjoy watching most 50s Sci-Fi films.

For a 1950's sci-fi flick, not bad at all. I'm glad they stayed true to Bradbury's treatment.
