We saw Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer last night.

This is the type of movie you sit through because you love your child.

The Big Sleep. I love old crime movies from the 1940s and 50s.

Last week, we bought the movie The Box, for a dollar. We just got around to watching it last night. And I should add, I was really looking forward to this film because it had been based on the story by Richard Matheson. Well, the first half, which appeared to have been based on the Matheson story was actually very good - but the rest of it, which just seemed clumsily tacked on in order to make it a feature length film, really sucked. Which, in the end, unfortunately means that the whole thing sucked.

Rainbow Brite And The Star Stealer. For ages 5-7 and 8-10. About 5 minutes when this rainbow colored horse started singing I was starting to be like "... *reach for wiimote*" but I decided to sit through the entire movie with the thought "This could be the best movie I've ever seen." in mind. I was wrong. So wrong. I liked some things but the entire movie I'd say was... Okay.

Just watched 'The Fighter', was very good.

Also just saw 'Inside Job' about the GFC in 2008... Very scary how the world got into the mess its in.

Oh yeah, and just got 'Baraka' on BR, very beautiful look at our world.

Last night, my wife and I watched I Shot Andy Warhol. Very decent movie about, as the title implies, the schizophrenic woman, Valerie Solanis, who who tried to kill Warhol because of the delusion that he was trying to steal her feminist play and control her life. Highly recommended.

I just watched King Kong again on cable, the most recent version. I think it was one of the better blockbusters made in the last 10 years. Very entertaining and the natives would probably have scared me to nightmares if I saw it when I was a kid.

This thread reminds me that I haven't gone to the theater in quite a while. Might have to go sometime this week.

i have seen many ads for movies recently, and after i see an ad, i feel like i know what the movie will be like and so i am satisfied with that knowledge, and it absolves me from the chore of actually watching those movies.

when i was about 18, i used to hire movies out from video shops, and when i got home, i fast forwarded to the end of the movie to see the outcome, and once i saw that, i did not really want to watch the rest.

movies are almost impossible for me to become interested in.
