The title alone sounds interesting.

It's a classic sci-fi B movie released in 1964.

The title is actually Robinson Crusoe on Mars; sorry about the typo.

I'm starting a movie called Hereditary.

Has anyone seen it?

My daughter says it's messed.

I really enjoyed it until the last 15 minutes. I thought it was excellent and very interesting. I don't scare easily so I wouldn't call it "scary" but it was certainly creepy -- a fascinating story with fascinating characters, very well-written, and very well-acted. I just hate when psychological films devolve into special effects in the last scenes, and try too hard to be bizarre. I could have easily done without all the backstory that came out in the ending.

8-9 stars. I agree with "First Rate". I just really hate special effects.

It really was. When I say it was fascinating, I mean it. I was completely engrossed in the story which is rare for me with any movie, let alone horror movies which are often a dime a dozen. This one was incredibly well-written and I was fascinated by the story. I know I keep saying "fascinated" but I don't know any other way to explain it. The story was THAT good -- (until in my opinion, the ending was too much).

I loved that movie as well, very disturbing. If you liked it also recommend Midsommar by the same director.

Last night we watched comedy/horror The Final Girls [2015].
Tagline: "Who will survive?"

We both enjoyed it. It is a fun film! It might not have won an Oscar but it is pretty good.

Not The Final Girls [2018] Which sounds suspiciously similar!, The Final Girl [2010], or Final Girl [2015].

Omg, telepathy? :D It seems like we have similar taste in movies with your daughter! But seriously, that movie aside from being a good horror movie, made me think a lot about people's emotional needs, wanting to belong somewhere and the concept of" family"
I hope you enjoy it too!

Starting Midsommar now. 8O

Update:

Um. Well now. Just finished. Definitely weird, but to the point I got bored of it. I think the white clothes, sunlight, and agoraphobia bothered me more than anything else. I must be tough-skinned. Only one visual image creeped me out in the whole thing. I liked Hereditary better.
