Last night I watched: The Crawling Eye [1958] Original title: The Trollenberg Terror
Tagline: "WARNING: If you've ever been hypnotized, do not come alone!"
I admit this is clearly a 1950's B-movie Science Fiction film. And it is one of my favorites! I cannot explain why I like it so much, but I do.
I also cannot explain why my bride does not like it but did like Fiend Without a Face [1958]. I think she got it backwards.

Well it’s much better than the 1990 TV movie, Hardy is great in it, and it seems more accurate to real life events, though there is (as always) some dramatisation and incidents that never actually happened irl (can’t say what cos spoilers)

Just did a rewatch of Three Days of the Condor, it's still great.

Schumacher

This documentary was watched on Netflix.
I enjoyed it. It focused on his life up until his run of five world championships with Ferrari. It included interviews with wife Corinna, his father Rolf, his brother Ralf, several people in the Formula 1 community, and a bit towards the end with his son Mick and daughter Gina-Marie. It also contained clips of interviews with Michael.

The documentary opens with some beautiful, serene footage of Corinna and Michael, with their children, scuba diving. Everything is quiet and smooth, peaceful, with soothing synth-string music. That fades to black, fading to Michael driving his Ferrari through the tunnel at Monaco, from the point of view of the in car camera. The music swells as he exists the tunnel. The image shakes and breaks up as the car navigates the course. Then the title flashes, "Schumacher" which breakups, echoing those of the in-car footage.

I enjoyed this documentary very much.
