Absolutly 5/5! The first part or half if you like of the season finale really was brilliant because usually with storys as intricate and interesting as this all that the story ever really amounts to is all hype but the writers really made something special here as I actually think I felt what was happening, from the sorrow in the Amy/Rory scene to the despair of River song and the Dr, please writers don't flop in the next episode, love it!

Oh My God! That was intense! I don't think I blinked for the entire second half of that episode. Just wow, what a great episode, gave me shivers, I'm speechless.

I am currently still trying to process all that...

I have a suspicion that next week will begin with seven year old Amelia Pond, being visited by a familiar blue box, and the Doctor telling her she has something very very important to remember.

I was convinced until now that this would be to remember Rory - now, I think it's even more subtle than that. Everything links back to Amy - the Romans, the Pandorica, it's all come from scanning her mind. So what if you plant something in that mind, early on, that gives you the chance to escape...?

Watched Vincent and the Doctor tonight. It wasn't bad, really, but that whole alien subplot thing was pretty damned vestigial. I did like the interaction between the Doctor, Amy and van Gogh, along with the hints that the Doctor is trying to make it up to an oblivious Amy for Rory's death. But really, Richard Curtis should stick to writing comedy. This was average, not great.

Of the resurrected Doctor Who (last five seasons), which season is the best in your opinion?

I am tossing up between Season 2 and the current season 5

I might add - they're all of extremely high quality regardless

Oh certainly this current season as I just feel like this series has been drawing me in more and has had more morality issues e.g.: The beast below, which is always something I find interesting and with Christopher eccelston(sp) I just found him to have a very bland presence.

I'll have to rewatch seasons 1-4 again because I'm definitely thinking this is the best season so far as a whole. All the other seasons had at least one or two episodes that were frankly pretty terrible. This season there was only one that I didn't like as much as the others, but I still like it.

At the moment I would have to say that this season is the best, however I can't really remember series 3 that well. I am getting the box set for my birthday so I will re-watch it. I think that was a pretty good series.

Yes, Christopher Eccleston was pretty bland in comparison to the two new guys, however I still liked his series. More lousy script-work than bad acting in that one (tut-tut RTD).

It does indeed look like little Amelia Pond will be back in the final episode. It's going to be brilliant I hope!

Very pleased with the finale, and the whole series. I hope he keeps the fez.

I'm not exactly sure that the ending made sense, but I'm also not exactly sure that I care. :D

I think River killed the fez...

poor fez...

I too don't care as to whether the ending made sense or not. As far as I could tell it sorta did (I know sorta isn't a word...) but heck, I was thoroughly entertained! DW is about entertaining people not being 100% accurate about EVERYTHING!! !

Near the end he wakes up, reaches for the fez, looks disappointed that it's not there, and says "I can buy a fez". I laughed, and might have yelled out "please do!" I just keep thinking how excellent it would be if his outfit next year included a fez. It suited him rather well.

On a related note. I'm sad that the second Doctor Who adventure game won't work outside the UK. I don't know why they'd let us play the first one and not the second one. Such a tease! I was excited. :(

The finale was really good overall but I still don't like Rory.
