I just got done watching Pale Rider, a western made in 1985 and directed/starring by Clint Eastwood. Great film. The supernatural and religous overtones aren't heavy handed, and separate is what makes it unique. Clint Eastwood has the ability to portray a cool and cold masculinity that is missing in modern american cinema, were boisterous, one-liner spewing badasses predominate. Even though this is way before I was born, I really like westerns, and am gonna track down High Planes Drifters, a movie that is the counterpart to Pale Rider, as soon as possible.

Finished Evangelion 1.11 earlier today. I was surprised by how closely it followed the show. I was expecting the same plot, but it was practically scene-for-scene! :) (Which is great considering how good the original show was!)

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. I know I'm probably the only American since 1977 who has gone their whole life without watching it, but, as can be expected, I truly enjoyed it. Han Solo is probably my favorite character, though all of them are likeable.

I bought an LCD TV one month ago, so I've been able to watch movies again.

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly: A classic!

Adam, Cinderella Man: Comfortable to watch, no classics though.

Hot Fuzz: A comedy that actually made me laugh.

Dark Knight, Inception, Precious: Okay, but overrated.

Next up: Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Seven Samurai, Insidious.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Very entertaining movie. I really liked it. I wasn't expecting a cinematic masterpiece. I was expecting to see a lot of things blow up. My expectations were met.
