I do not condone toting a gun in a diner or anywhere for that matter, unless you want to put your ass at risk of being taken away by the police forces & be put in prison for a very long time, particularly if you are of an ethnic minority of a person of colour.

However, this is a good, philosophical movie to watch. It is a movie about life, mostly applicable to economically deprived areas, but also privileged ones, too.

Paul Giamatti, Thomas Haden Church, Virginia Madsen, and Sandra Oh are great in this. Very quotable.

Of course, if you watch it a million times, it's easy to quote.

Last night we rewatched The Devil's Carnival and then we watched:

Alleluia! The Devil's Carnival [2016]
>=>"Where is your heaven hiding?"

We enjoyed both. But their value is in the visuals and the music...don't worry too much about the story. Enjoy the ride.

How was it? I appreciate their music, though I'm not a huge fan. She is very interesting, though. Does Johnny Rotten make an appearance?

It is more about her struggles and issues then the music per se. Johnny Rotten does not comment but is discussed.

Off Topic
X-Ray Spex and Buzzcocks are my favorite first wave British punk acts. I guess you could put Siouxsie and the Banshees in there but they go well beyond the late ‘70s and Punk rock.

Nightmare Alley.

A conman in pre-WWII America hooks up with a circus, where he learns new tricks from the carnies. He and a female act expand to the big time, when he meets a psychiatrist with ulterior motives. He should have known better than to get hooked up with a dangerous business tycoon with guilt he wants to unload.
First rate, very dark movie. Highly recommended!
Guess who ends up the circus geek at the end.
