He should have known better than to get hooked up with a dangerous business tycoon with guilt he wants to unload.
First rate, very dark movie. Highly recommended!
Guess who ends up the circus geek at the end.

Agreed I thought it was great.

You know this is first Guillermo Del Toro movie I didn't really like. Well I'm not sure not like is the right phrase. I starting watching then stopped 3 different times because I couldn't sit through it. The acting is superb and so is the directing its just... depressing, unsettling, and the feel of impending doom from the very beginning was a bit overwhelming for me. And the characters decisions drove me crazy. Lol. It's like watching a train wreck that could have been avoided but the conductor keeps heading towards disaster regardless of all the glowing red flags.

I guess that was the point, how some people are so self destructive and all you can do is watch the resulting catastrophe of their life. Because you definitely can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved.

Anyway, I love Guillermo Del Toro, he's one of my favorite directors but I don't think I'll be watching this again. Just my 2 cents.

I really like Del Toro too. I can see what you mean. My sister did not like it much either. She dosn't like dark films. For some reason I really like dark movies. I know they are not for everyone. I also thought the acting was really good. When Bradley cooper did certain things in the film I said that is a bad decision. 8O

Last night I watched:

At the Circus [1939]
>=>"Keep the world laughing!"
With Groucho, Chico, and Harpo Marx.

Nothing outstanding...just the kind of fun you should expect from the Marx Brothers.

Chico played the piano, Harpo played the harp, and Groucho sang about "'Lydia, the Tattooed Lady".

Dawn Of The Beast.

Low budget horror flick where a group of friends are attacked by the Wendigo in the south eastern woods (where no one ever believed in it, historically), when Bigfoot comes to the rescue.
Not quite as bad as I made it sound.

Turning Red. It was a very good movie and I love the design choices.

Uncharted. It was ok. Too much spinning camera made me motion sick.

What is your opinion about the Blade reboot film
in development for the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
